ProMinent Electronic Dosing Pumps Type Concept CC3 and B are available in 16 models and upto a capacity of 60 I/hr. The ProMinent Electronic Dosing pumps are solenoid driven and controlled electronically by a PCB. The only moving part in the pump is the solenoid armature which has a maximum movement of 1.25 mm only, and therefoThe Developan diaphragm of the spump is made of high quality fabric reinforced EPDM with moulded in steel core and coating of teflon on the media contacted side.
The Housings of the Concept CC3 pumps are made of Noryl plastic and for the B pumps the housings are made of die-cast Aluminium with chemical resistant coating.
ProMinent CC3 The Concept CC3 and B pumps have the facility for accepting pulse or 0/4-20mA signals for automatic control of dosing. These pumps also have the in built feature for low level indication in the Dosing Tank through a tank level switch.
Double ball valves on the suction and discharge side ensure maximum accuracy.
The liquid ends of the Concept CC3 and B pumps can be offered in Acrylic (N), PVC (P), Polypropylene (PP), Teflon (T) or Stainless Steel (S).
To select a suitable pump the following information is required

The design principles underlying the Meta series involve decades of ProMinent experience and guarantee operator safety at every stage.
Oscillating positive displacement pumps based on the spring cam principleThe drive is a three-phase motor whose drive output is reduced by a worm gear pair, and conveyed via a cam to the connecting rod, producing reciprocal motion. The stroke action is subject to no play and accurate repetition is maintained over a long service life. This is the result of a spring-loaded recuperator which ensures the connecting rod stays in constant contact with the cam (i.e. the spring cam principle). Reciprocal stroke limits may be very finely adjusted which means stroke lengths are extremely precise (1 % graduations for Meta HM).
0.37 kW for 2370 I/h - is enough! The minimal friction within the drive mechanism ensures high power output from the standard-sized dual-wound three-phase motor (0.1 8/ 0.37 kW, 230/400 V, 50/60 Hz). With its 0.37 kW a triple Meta Pump has enough power to dose 2370 I/h now that's efficient!
A cool head keeps its distance. The mechanical separation of dosing head and gears effectively prevents seepage of chemicals into the casing and gears.
.and can even dose highviscosity liquids! The specialised dosing head design, in conjunction with valves particularly suited to accommodate liquid through-flow makes these models ideal for dosing highviscosity liquids. With dosing heads incorporating an integrated heating system, e.g. for glue, syrup or sugar-solutions, or dosing heads in stainless steel (1.4571), or chlorine and acid-resistant Hastelloy C we've got all media options covered, and under control! We can supply manual or timer-controlled rinsing, enabling you to adopt a flexible approach to specialised processes.
!At the heart of the action: Highly-developed membrane technology!Lift off!The suction lift of ProMinent (regtd) Meta diaphragm dosing pumps creates a water column of 2 to 5 m (dependant upon model). It varies according to the thickness and viscosity of the medium, and the size of the connecting pipework.
A heart of steel: ProMinent (regtd) Meta HM/AMThe heart of the dosing head is the well-proven DEVELOPAN (regtd) dosing membrane: it consists of a steel core, which is vulcanised into a chemical and temperature-resistant EPDM material, strengthened with Nylon webbing, and which is Teflon (PTFE) -coated on the chemical - contact side. This ensures reliable dosing even under varying back-pressures.
Durability comes as standard! The long service life of these membranes is a result of the symbiosis of material, construction and the maximum movement of 4 and 6 mm. Dosing heads are fitted with precision ball valves. The material variants - Polypropylene, PVC, Teflon and stainless steel 1 .4571 - correspond to current resist ance requirements and allow practically limitless application options for the ProMinent (regtd) Meta.
Reproducibility better than +/- 2%Dependant upon a stroke length programmed at between 30% to 100% under defined and constant conditions, and provided installation has been carried out correctly reproducibility is better than 2%. This ensures the quality of all your technical processes.
The new Meta-generation represents an advance: of 2mmThe increase in the length of the dosing stroke from 4 to 6 mm on the new Meta dia phragm dosing pumps means that in conjunction with newly constructed DN 25 ball valves the ProMinent(r) Sigma series can achieve up to 50% higher dosing capacities - and that's at the same cost and with the same pump size. Using a combination of one main pump and three externally - mounted pumps the operator can count on a maximum dosing quantity of 3.160 I/h (4 x 790 I/h). Work it out for yourself.
The measuring and control rarige is 0-14 pH. The controllers emit two pulse train signals to control two ProMinent Electronic Dosing Pumps and two relay outputs. The pulse signals are proportional to the deviation in the measured value from the set value and in turn the dosing rate will also be proportional to this. This will result in uniform levels of pH being maintained.
Dosing systems have three main advantages for the dosage of fluids compared to single components:
Our customers are provided a final solution that has only to be connected to hydraulic and electrical supply lines. On demand, even that will be effected by ProMinent.
All dosing systems are produced in our own factories, i.e. not only the main components such as metering pumps, controllers, sensor technology and tanks but also the mounting of the systems is effected from ProMinent staff. Thus ProMinent Quality is granted.
There are 3 different system concepts available:
The systems can now be controlled by a touch screen and have integral process visualisation. The speed of the dry feeder or liquid concentrate pumps used can be controlled to save energy by means of a frequency converter.
The following functions are included as standard:
Chlorine dioxide as Disinfectant
1. Chlorine dioxide has excellent bactericidal, virucidal, sporicidal, and algicidal properties and because of this, it is used to disinfect water and to inhibit the growth of algae.
Chlorine dioxide is a far more powerful disinfectant than chlorine. A comparison of the biocidal action of chlorine dioxide and chlorine on Cryptosporidium Parvum, E. Coli, and Giardia Lambila is presented in the table below
As we can see from the table chlorine dioxide is a far better disinfectant than chlorine. One of the main advantage of chlorine dioxide is that its Biocidal efficiency is not dependent on pH where as the Biocidal efficiency of chlorine is highly dependent on pH. Chlorine becomes ineffective if the pH value is above 8.
2. Chlorine dioxide is stable in water and a residual level of chlorine dioxide can be maintained to prevent recontamination. Any sample of water with O.2-PPM residual chlorine dioxide is free from contamination.
3. One more advantage of using chlorine dioxide is that it prevents the formation of bio-films in the piping system and hence keeps the piping system clean.
4. Chlorine dioxide does not react with organic matter in water to form Trihalomethanes and Chloramines like chlorine. These substances are toxic and many of them are carcinogenic. Chlorine dioxide does not leave behind any undesirable substances in the water and also due to the above reason the treated water will not have the typical chlorine smell. Due to this reason, in many cases the use of activated carbon filter can be avoided which are used to eliminate traces of chlorine.
Chlorine-di-oxide as an Oxidant
As an oxidant, chlorine dioxide is used for
Some of the applications in which chlorine dioxide has been very successful are listed below:
We can conclude by saying that Chlorine dioxide is a far superior disinfectant than Chlorine. Chlorine dioxide is also far safer than chlorine due to the fact that it does not give rise to harmful byproducts such as THMs, chlorophenols, chloramines and organic halides, some which are toxic and carcinogenic in nature. Also the biocidal efficiency of chlorine dioxide does not vary with pH, where as the biocidal efficiency of chlorine decreases as the pH value increases. Chlorine dioxide prevents the formation of bio- film in the piping system there by keeping the piping system clean.
