Inconel Fasteners like Inconel Alloy 625 Fastener are a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy used for its high strength and good corrosion resistance. Because of its high thermal stability, it can be used in service temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 1800°F (982°C). The high alloy content of Inconel fasteners enables it to withstand a variety of severe corrosive environments. In mild environments such as the atmosphere, seawater, neutral salts and alkaline media there is almost no attack to Inconel fasteners. Chemical properties for Monel 400 Fasteners:
We at Harsh Steel stock a large inventory of Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners. Small amounts of titanium and aluminum are added to the nickel-copper base, which results in a harder alloy while keeping the similar chemical resistance of Monel Alloy 400. Common applications for Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners are – they are used in pumps, blades, scrapers, collars, instruments, springs, and valves. Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners can also be age hardened which is a precipitation process. It should be noted that age hardened Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners have an increased risk towards stress corrosion cracking than Monel Alloy 400. However, the tensile strength of Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners is nearly double of Monel Alloy 400. This strength is consistent up to temperatures nearing 1200F. Monel Alloy 500 Fasteners are non-magnetic, high nickel alloy that possess a magnetic film composed of nickel on the outside. Bright dipping or pickling in acid can remove this film if desired.

Hastelloy alloy C22 (UNS N06022) fasteners are available at harsh Steel in ready stock. Hastelloy Alloy C22 Bolts are manufactured in half thread; full thread length with size from M5 up to M72. In some tests, Hastelloy C22 shows superior pitting resistance to Hastelloy C276 and Inconel 625. Hastelloy Alloy C22 is used in furnace scrubbers and phosphoric acid production. We have experienced little demand for Hastelloy C22 fasteners. Consequently, the quantities of hex bolts and hex nuts available from stock are not large. In many cases, Alloy C276 will work as a substitute. A Ni-Cr-Mo-W alloy, Hastelloy alloy C22 Fasteners offers resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion. Hastelloy C22, (like C276) is used in pollution control, chemical processing, pulp and paper production, waste treatment, marine seawater applications, etc. However, in most cases because of its supply/availability, C-276 is a more cost-effective option. The formation of alloy takes place by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes and is available in seamless tube, welded tube, bar, wire, sheet, plate, forgings, pipe fittings and flanges.
