Nickel Alloy 617 (UNS N06617) is a nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy with a remarkable consolidation of high-temperature quality and oxidation resistance. The high nickel and chromium contents make the alloy impervious to a mixed bag of both reducing and oxidizing situations, while the aluminum with the chromium gives oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Those components with the molybdenum empower the compound to withstand numerous wet destructive situations.
