Fire Fighting & Protection

Our product range contains a wide range of Detonation Flame Arrester, End Line Flame Arrester, Flame Arrester, Deflagration Flame Arrester and In Line Flame Arrester

Detonation Flame Arrester

If the gases belong to II A, IIB and IIC group with high detonation characteristics and flame front travelling at speed exceeding Mach 1 (supersonic) then the detonation arresters are advised. Detonation arrestors are also advised in pipelines with high working temperature of the medium.

End Line Flame Arrester

They are normally used on the storage tanks or for venting the combustible gases into the atmosphere. The protection of these flame arrestors is generally for Deflagration only.

These flame arrestors are used in the pipe line and manufactured for flame deflagration and Detonation.

Flame Arrester

We are offeringflame arrester are designed for the safety of pipe or vessel and work by preventing the entry and exit of any flame or halt it from traveling further. It can be used on its own or with other components as a safety system. A flame arrester usually has element having aperture that are small enough for entry of gases or vapors. A flame cannot pass through the flame arrester in case the aperture size is lesser than maximum experimental safe gap for gas/vapor. By forcing flames through channels that are too narrow for them to continue, the flame arresters are able to extinguish the flames. The channels can be made of wire mesh or a punched sheet metal plate or have random packing. Different flame arresters can handle different conditions and for that the determination of ignition source is necessary. applications :
  • vapor recovery lines
  • combustible gas lines of low-high calorific value gas
  • fuel gas lines
  • purge lines
  • compressors
  • waste treatment plants
  • flare systems
  • burners
  • incinerators
  • biogas lines
  • storage tanks
  • engines
  • chemical, petrochemical plants
  • gas trains
suitable for :
  • pulp and paper industry
  • food and beverage industry
  • process industry
  • adhesives, resins, paints industry
  • automotive industry
flame arresters are subcategorized as :
  • deflagration arrestors : used with group I gases having no detonation characteristics
  • detonation arrester : ii a, iib and iic group gases with high detonation characteristics. Used when flame front travelling at speed more than mach 1 (supersonic) or in pipelines with high medium working temperature
  • in line flame arrestor : used in the pipe line and made for flame deflagration and detonation
  • end of line flame arrestors : used on storage tanks or for venting the combustible gases into the atmosphere. Also used in the pipe line and made for flame deflagration and detonation
