Button Sewing and Neck WrappingThe AMF Reece EBS Mark II, electronic button sewing machine, duplicates the quality of hand sewn buttons with our unique floating needle technology. It performs a neatly sewn button that stands away from the jacket front with a tightly wrapped shank and no unsightly thread showing on the underside of the garment.

Main features:-

1.Unique floating needle technology

Unique technology patented by AMF Reece. Double pointed needle with an eye in the middle is passed through the fabric between two needle bars to perform true hand stitching. In replication to a seamstress a length of thread is passed through the material duplicating the hand stitch with flawless consistency and incomparable speed.

2.Independent Motors

The combination of 7 independent motors enable the machine to sew a wide range of buttons and styles, along with an incomparable sewing quality. The main drive is controlled by the servo motor while the X-Y movements for the button stitching and wrapping are driven by step motors. The step motors are also used for button feeding, thread tension, neck height and stitch depth adjustments.

3.Electronically Controlled Thread Tension

The step motor controlling the thread tension ensures smooth distribution of pre-set tensions. The thread tension can be separately programmed for four different sewing phases such as stitching the button, show stitch, neck wrapping and the final locking stitch. This plays an important role especially when sewing on difficult and thin materials to eliminate puckering and other sewing issues.

4.Sewing Speed

The sewing speed can be adjusted from 100 to 200 spm from the touch screen display. To achieve top sewing quality, different speeds can be separately programmed for button stitching, button wrapping and final locking stitch. A lower speed of a final stitch can be required for example when sewing with thinner threads

5.LED Sewing and Marking Lights

Machine is standardly equipped with sewing and marking lights. The sewing light is embedded in the sewing head and illuminates the sewing area much better than commonly used work lights. The red LED marking light ensures easy placement of the garment and marks the exact button position.

Buttonhole size, eye style (regular eye or no eye), and end finishing (open end, flybar, crossbar) can be rapidly changed, by changing the pattern of shape cam. If buttonhole size is changed, the length gauge must also be adjusted. This gauge is similar to both the S-101 and S-104.

The S-100 machine sews up to 1, 750 spm. Productivity of an average of 3, 200 buttonholes is based on 8-hour day. The daily productivity with RDE machine models (052, 053) is about 5, 700 spm.

Simple selection of buttonhole cutting

Cut before, cut after or no cut are easily and quickly selected by using two levers. The same mechanism is used on the S-101 and S-104 models.

Revolutionary Stop Motion

The Roller Activated Stop Motion reliably positions the brake pad for a full revolution of braking every time. By absorbing much of the inertia prior to the stop, the life of the machine is prolonged and quality problems, such as double stops, are virtually eliminated.

The machine spends more time sewing since components like fly over and the eccentric are no longer needed and fewer adjustments are required. This stop motion is also used on our finest eyelet buttonhole machine S-104.

Semi-Automatic Lubrication System with Oil level indicator

The S-100 is equipped with a full drip oil wick lubrication system. By using wicks to carry oil to the critical parts of the machine, oiling is easier and less time consuming

The advantage of this system is that it eliminates periodic oiling downtime, reduces maintenance expenses and prolongs the machine life.

An oil level indicator shows the operator or mechanic when the machine is low on oil, protecting the machine from severe damage that can be caused by running a machine without the minimum required oil.

The S-101 mechanical eyelet buttonhole machine is workhorse of the industry with special models capable of sewing buttonholes that give the appearance of a hand sewn buttonhole. The S-101 is the only mechanical eyelet buttonhole machine with stationary bed plate that allows the work to remain stationary while the head travels around the buttonhole. This guarantees that the garment does not move during the sewing cycle. The S-101 is also the only mechanical eyelet hand hole machine in the world that is capable of sewing an imitation hand stitch buttonhole, with a top gimp attachment. The buttonhole type, eye shape and buttonhole cutting can be easily adjusted by simple usage of levers and knobs. This mechanical eyelet buttonhole machine is sewing open and flybar buttonholes with or without the eye at the speed of 1600 spm. The buttonhole length is adjustable between 13-32 mm depending on the garment manufacturers requirements.

The S-101 is the most recognized name in the eyelet buttonhole industry, withmore S-101 machines running today than any other eyelet buttonhole machine.Its reliability has been proven through decades of performance and by today wehave over 35, 000 S-101 buttonhole machines in the world market, by far the largestnumber of any other producer.

The S-101 is the only machine available worldwide which allows the work to remainstationary while the head travels around the buttonhole. This guarantees that thegarment does not move during the sewing cycle.

The S-101 machine is the only machine in the world that is capable of sewingan imitation hand stitch buttonhole, with a top gimp attachment. The hand holeis, without a doubt the best buttonhole you will see anywhere and it gives theappearance of a hand sewn buttonhole. High speed electronically controlled chainstitch imitation sleeve buttonhole machine designed for sewing purely decorative and non-functional buttonholes on jacket sleeves. The chainstitch imitation sleeve buttonhole machine is programmable to sew automatically up to 8 imitation buttonholes at specific distances between each buttonhole. The machine clamps can be set to sew imitation buttonholes at an angle of 0 to 6 degree from a sleeve cuff. The chainstitch imitation sleeve buttonhole machine is offered with large touch screen display that uses easily understood symbols and graphics to simplify the adjustments. The optional laser lights marks the position of the sleeve at the beginning of sewing cycle. The high sewing speed up to 3800 spm and the short sewing cycle increase productivity and the single pedal electronic start reduces operator fatigue.

C Drive Motor is fully enclosed within the head casting, eliminating the need for an under the table mounted clutch motor, pulley, belt and brake. This reduces required maintenance and eliminates oil and dust around the working area.

Decorative No-Cut Buttonhole

The S-4000 ISBH produces a buttonhole which has a similar appearance to a normal buttonhole but is purely decorative and non-functional. This type of buttonhole is not cut and is used on the sleeves of mens and ladies jackets, suits and sports coats. Since this buttonhole is not cut, and is done on a fast chainstitch machine, sewing at speeds up to 3, 800 spm, the operator is able to sew 2 3 times more jacket/coat sleeves, than with a conventional buttonhole machine.

Only one square bar is sewn while at the other end the small stitch gives the appearance of a rounded end. On the finished garment the button is sewn over the square bar. The size of the buttonhole is from 15, 8 mm to 25 mm (5/8 to 1). To see the difference between the regular and ISBH buttonhole please see the drawings below.

Productivity & Flexibility

Chainstitch buttonholing provides increased productivity with no bobbin change. The elasticity of the chainstitch also provides the flexibility needed for many fabrics such as knitwear.

Pneumatic Clamping, Cutting and Thread Trimming

Semi-Automatic Lubrication System and Oil Monitor

The S-4000 series is equipped with the drip oil wick lubrication system and oil level monitor. This system prolongs the machine life and reliability.

High Speed Sewing with Reduced Noise Level

The S-4000 series has electronically adjustable sewing speed up to 3, 800 spm and are the fastest chainstitch buttonhole and special application machines available. Due to the DC Drive Motor the machine is 20% faster than other models. The noise level is also significantly lower on the S-4000.

The S-311 electronically controlled, fully programmable eyelet buttonhole machine provides the user with total flexibility and versatility with a wide variety of models. Machine is equipped with new, faster control system, including 20% reduced cycle time, and new larger touch screen display.Optional accessories, especially designed for jacket applications, provide higher cutting flexibility including the desired cutting position. These facilitate the production of buttonholes in one operation without any follow-up work.

This X-Y machine is driven by three stepper motors and an induction motor. The stepper motors control the rotation of the sewing race, the horizontal and lateral movements of the machine. An induction motor drives the needle bar movement.

Cycle sewing, which is a standard feature on all models, allows up to 21 different buttonholes to be sewn in 47 different programs. For example the operator can set the machine to sew any of the buttonhole styles in any combinations such as 2x eyelet, 1x no eye, 1x eyelet with crossbar. These programs can be easily set by the operator from the control panel.

Thank to our Ultraflex accessories the buttonhole applications on the mens suits are now very easy. With a combination of the lapel system and the lapel optical sensor the machine provides the operator with partial cutting of the lapel buttonhole in precisely specified place and automatically recognizes the correct buttonhole from the cycle mode. These new accessories are available only for machines that are equipped with Automatic Cutting Length (ACL) System. Please refer to the Optional Accessories for more details.

The sewing speed is adjustable from 1, 000 2, 000 spm on the touch screen. The sewing speed can also be adjusted at the start and end position as well as around the eye to ensure excellent sewing quality even on more difficult materials.

The AF and LTT models are capable of sewing the same range of buttonhole types with eye or no eye (open end, basic adjustable flybar, crossbar, round end).
