Weld Neck Flanges

Stainless Steel Weld Neck Flangesare designed to be joined to a piping system by butt welding. Weld neck flanges is relatively expensive because of its long neck, but is preferred for high stress applications. The neck, or hub, transmits stresses to the pipe, reducing stress concentrations at the base of the flange. The gradual transition of thickness from the base of the hub to the wall thickness at the butt weld provides important reinforcement of the metal flange. The bore of the stainless steel weld neck flanges matches the bore of the pipe, reducing turbulence and erosion.

Socket Weld Flanges

These stainless steel socket weld flangesare similar to a slip-on flange in outline, but the bore is counter - bored to accept pipe. The diameter of the remaining bore is the same as the inside diameter of the pipe. The stainless steel socket weld flanges are attached to the pipe by a fillet weld around the hub of the flange. An optional interval weld may be applied in high stress application. Socket weld flange's biggest use is in high pressure systems such as hydraulic and steam lines.

Threaded Flanges

TheseStainless Steel Threaded Flangesare similar to a slip-on flange in outline, but the bore is threaded, thus enabling assembly without welding. This obviously limits its applications to relatively low pressure piping systems. The stainless steel threaded flanges may be welded around the joint after assembly, but this is not considered a satisfactory method of increasing its applications.

Orifice Flanges

The function ofstainless steel orifice flangesis to provide access to a line for meeting off gases or liquids. Stainless steel orifice flanges is clamped between a pair of flanges when installed in a line and the whole assembly is referred to as an orifice flange union. Jack-screws within the assembly facilitate removal of the orifice plate. The orifice plate, the metering device, consists of a thin plate with a concentric, square edge, circular hole in the center. Two pressure tap-holes are drilled in each orifice flange to measure pressure differences through the orifice.

Slip On Flanges

Thestainless steel slip on flangesare slipped over the pipe then welded both inside and outside to provide sufficient strength and prevent leakage. These stainless steel slip on flanges are used in preference to weld necks by many users because of its lower cost and the fact that less accuracy is required when cutting pipe to length.

Reducing Flanges

Our clients can avail from us a wide range ofreducing Flangestat is designed in compliance with international quality standards. These reducing flanges are available in all types and pressures and are widely used for pipe-to-pipe connections. The reducing flange includes a flange with one specified diameter having a bore of a different and smaller diameter. Except for the bore and hub dimensions, the reducing flange will have dimensions of the larger pipe size. To increase the size of the flange, these are used at the outlet side of the expansion joint. It is the most economical method to make a transition in size.

Socket Welding Flange

TheSocket Welding Flangeoffered by us is a popular type of pipe flange that was initially developed for use on small-sized high- pressure piping. The fabrication of socket welding flanges is similar to that of a slip-on flange. Though, the internal pocket of a socket weld flange allows for a smooth bore and better fluid flow. When provided with an internal weld, the static strength of this flange is equal to slip-on flange, but the fatigue strength is 50% greater than double welding slip-on flanges. Smooth bore conditions in such a flange can easily be attained without having to bevel the flange face and, after welding, to reface the socket weld flange as would be required with slip-on flanges. For this reason, the internally welded flange is popular in chemical process piping.

Material used :

  • Alloy steel
  • Carbon steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Cast iron
  • Rubber
  • PVC
  • Thermoplastics
  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Bronze

Key Features :

  • The recess on the inside diameter of the socket weld flange allows for a good fit of the pipe allowing for a smooth flow of liquid.
  • Socket welding flanges work well for smaller sizes and higher pressure temperature conditions. They are similar to slip-on flanges, but must specify the schedule of the pipe where they will be used for with socket welds.

Specifications :

  • Stainless Steel :ASTM A 182, A 240Grade : F304, 304L, 304H, 316, 316L, 316Ti, 310, 310S, 321, 321H, 317, 347, 347H, 904L, Duplex stainless steel UNS S31803, 2205, Super Duplex stainless steel UNS S32750

Plate Flanges

We have been offering a wide range ofStainless Steel Plate Flangesto our clients. These SS plate flanges are special types of flanges that have raised face and back ups, which are made from quality mill plates. Our stainless steel plate flanges have high weld ability & harden ability and are available in different dimensional specifications depending upon the requirements and their applications.

Advantages :
Stainless steel plate flanges are produced from quality mill plate. Mill plate produced to the ASTM A240 and ASME SA240 standards is virtually free of voids, non-metallic inclusions and other defects. The inherent corrosion resistance of stainless steel is enhanced by the superior grain structure offered by plate products over forged or cast products.

As companies begin to look at life-cycle costing models, in almost every case, the slightly higher initial cost of stainless steel plate flanges is more than offset by the extended service life and the reduction of the normal maintenance costs. Stainless steel plate flanges are a widely accepted alternative to cast or forged flanges in low pressure applications.
