Hex bolts have hexagonal heads and machine threads for use with a nut or in a tapped hole. Also known as hex cap screws or machine bolts. Hex cap screws feature a washer face under the head and a chamfered point, whereas a hex bolt does not have a washer face or chamfered threads. They are made of low-carbon steel and are very common in construction or repair projects.

Hex bolts, also called hexagon screw head bolts, hex cap bolts, hex-cap screws, or machine bolts, are a very common choice when it comes to construction and repair. Concrete anchor bolts are used in new construction to secure a structure's walls to concrete slabs and foundation walls, to fasten steel columns to concrete piers and to anchor machinery to concrete pads. These anchor bolts are sunk into the wet concrete by hand immediately after the concrete slab is poured. You can leave as much of the bolt sticking out of the slab as you need. The anchor bolt can be straightened or plumbed as the concrete hardens. There are basically two types of anchor bolts for concrete; J-bolts and wedge anchors.

J-bolts are set into fresh concrete. This type of anchor bolt is shaped like the letter L, so it can not be pulled out of the concrete after the concrete has hardened.

U-bolts are versatile fasteners used to secure pipes, conduit, cables, and machinery, or as an anchor in foundations and roofs. U Bolts are used heavily in building and construction. An eye bolt is a bolt with a loop at one end. They are used to firmly attach a securing eye to a structure, so that ropes or cables may then be tied to it. Wire eye bolts (also referred to as bent or turned eye bolts) are used for light duty applications, and should not be used for angular loads. Drop forged eye bolts are significantly stronger than wire eyes and are available in larger sizes. These bolts should not be used for angular loads. Drop forged machinery eye bolts are fully threaded. Machinery eye bolts without a shoulder should not be used for angular loads.

The four basic types are regular eye bolts, shoulder eye bolts, screw eye bolts and machinery eye bolts. All four of these basic types that E-Rigging offers are manufactured in the drop forged process to ensure greater strength.

Rock bolting is a primary means of rock reinforcement used to stabilize excavated rock in underground mines and tunneling. Rock bolts are systematically arranged in such a manner as to transfer the load from the unstable surface or exterior of the rock, to the stronger interior part of the rock.

Self-Drilling Rock Bolt is a rock-bolting system based ona fully coarse threaded hollow bar.
It is especially recommended for the following applications :
- Roof and wall bolting.
- All ground conditions. Self Drilling Rock Bolts do not require to pre-drill a hole, therefore making it usable even in soft rock conditions.
- Installation with grout. The hollow steel anchor rod also acts as a grouting pipe to ease set up. For non-grouting applications, please refer to Mechanical Anchor or Expandable Friction bolt.
- Temporary or permanent applications. With optional epoxy coating available for permanent applications.
