Steel frame prevents flexing ensuring greater accuracy in measurement. Insulation at top and bottom end of the frame safeguards against data distortion due to thermal expansion. Non wearing carbide tipped anvil & measuring faces ensure accurate measurements over a long period of time. Each piece comes with a standard ball attachment that converts a regular micrometer into a pipe micrometer, enabling measurement of pipes, tubes, etc.
