Lemongrass Oil is tall perennial plant belongs to Poaceae family; scientifically known as Cymbopogon citratus. Lemongrass plant is originated in tropical and subtropical regions India, Malaysia, Srilanka and China well grown in dense clumps and it has bright, sharp-edged leaves and lemon grass plant looks similar to grass.


Extraction : Lemon grass oil is extracted from matured and partially dried grass by handmade steam distillation process. 
Chemical composition : Main compounds of lemongrass oil contains citral (Geranial and Neral – approximately 85% of the oil) Myrcene, citronellal, terpinol, geraniol, β-myrcene, piperitone, alpha-terpineole, pinene and traces of limonene.
