More About Our Motor Control Center (MCC)

  • A Motor Control Center (MCC) is an assembly of one or more enclosed sections having a common power bus and principally containing motor control units.
  • Motor control centers are in modern practice a factory assembly of several motor starters. A motor control center can include variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, and metering and may be the electrical service entrance for the building.
  • Motor control centers are usually used for low voltage three-phase altering current motors from 208 V to 600 V.
  • A motor control center consists of one or more vertical metal cabinet sections with power bus, contractor or a solid-state motor controller, overload relays to protect the motor, fuses or a circuit breaker to provide short-circuit protection, and a disconnecting switch to isolate the motor circuit.
  • Three-phase/single phase power enters each controller through separable connectors.
  • The motor is wired to terminals in the controller in an MCC control centers provide wire ways for field control and power cables.
  • Each motor controller in an MCC can be specified with a range of options such as separate control transformers, pilot lamps, control switches, extra control terminal blocks, various types of thermal or solid-state overload protection relays, or various classes of power fuses or types of circuit breakers.

  • Auto mains failure (AMF) panel is meant for controlling DG START/ STOP sequence in accordance to the availability of main power supply.
  • We design & manufacture the AMF panels for various capacity & different make of Diesel Generator set.
  • AMF panel is the short form of Auto Main Failure panel.
  • It is normally connected to the generator set to the control the generator set function.
  • It is connected with a feedback from main power source that it sense if the main power fails and triggers a start command (through relay and hard wiring) to the Generator to start and close the necessary circuit breakers to take the load on to Generator.

  • An Automatic Power Factor Correction (Controller) panel is used to Save Energy by consistently maintaining higher power factor.
