Viscosity Instruments

Our product range contains a wide range of MOONEY-VISKOSIMETER, Rubber Capillary Rheometer, rheometers and capillary rheometers

MOONEY-VISKOSIMETER

The new developed device is used to determine the Mooney Viscosity and the scorch characteristics recorded over time. Typical test materials are unvulcanised rubber compounds and samples of pure natural or synthetic rubber.

A shearing disk viskosimeter with a closed chamber and rotor.
The functionality is especially simplified due to the new design.
The sample (consisting of two round blanks) is being sheared in the closed chamber by a constant turning rotor. During this procedure the resulting torque is recorded while pressure, temperature and speed are constant.

Rubber Capillary Rheometer

The RCR-II is an innovative Capillary Rheometer to determine the flow behavior of rubbers under special physical processing conditions.
The test material is placed manually (or optional automatically via an autoloader) into the test barrel. A test piston is pressing the material with constant test force or constant speed through a capillary into free space. The material can be injected into a closed mold as option. The procedure is being performed at a pre-defined test temperature.
An integrated touch-screen monitor allows to operate the device, the parameterization, the performance of the test and the evaluation is handled by the PC software RubberView. The measured force, position and temperature are recorded electronically and transferred via Ethernet to the PC for further processing and evaluating.

The results are being displayed numerical as well as in curve diagrams and/or send out on a printer. The RCR-II is used in the field of research and development as well as for quality control and inspection of received goods.

Rheometers

The smallest one from the RHEOGRAPH family, our RHEOGRAPH 20, controlled with CANBus technology, was not only developed on modern 3D-construction workstations but of course also with the experience and potential from more than 30 years of the numerous generations before. A high rate of automation and user friendliness, a wide shear rate range as well as a test force, which might be sufficient for many applications come as a standard. Many useful options and non-standard features can be realized.
