Folding bellows are exceedingly light and economical. They are used particularly often in buses, trams, monorails and in technical building applications.
Corrugated bellows have better sound insulation and heat insulation characteristics than folding bellows. Double-corrugated bellows have the same basic characteristics as single-corrugated bellows but insulate more effectively. They are also more stable and less permeable under pressure.
These are available in a complete integrated bellows model or in a rubber version. With their aerodynamic characteristics they can result in energy savings of up to 10%.

An expansion joint or movement jointis an assembly designed to safely absorb the heat-induced expansionand contraction of construction materials, to absorb vibration, to hold parts together, or to allow movement due to ground settlement Expansion joints are used in piping systems to absorb thermal expansion or terminal movement where the use of expansion loops is undesirable or impractical. Expansion joints are available in many different shapes and materials. In Steel Plants Metallic Expansion Joints are installed in pipe work and duct systems to prevent damage caused by thermal growth, vibration, pressure thrust and other mechanical forces. There is a wide range of metallic bellows designs in a variety of materials. Options range from the simplest convoluted bellows used in petroleum refineries. Resistance welding, also known as roll seam welding, is a process of overlapping machine spot welds. Our Bellows offers this process on multi-ply bellows to join all of the plies together at the end of the necks thus making welding almost fool proof for the customer. Resistance welding can be done with or without a reinforcing band depending on the bellows ply thickness. We offers precision neck expansion on all of our single ply and multi-ply bellows. As experienced fabricators know, a better fit means easier and faster welding. When the neck fits tightly to the flange or pipe it is being welded to the chances for leaks are greatly reduced. Weld in liners are designed to weld to the flange or pipe after the bellows attachment weld is made. Each flow liner is precision expanded for a tight fit thus reducing the weld time. Our Bellows offers single step expansion for standard clearance and double step expansion for larger clearances needed for lateral offset.
