The setup is designed to study the performance of centrifugal pump. Set up consists of a centrifugal pump coupled with electrical motor, supply tank, measuring tank & pipe fittings for closed loop water circulation. Pressure and Vacuum gauges are connected on delivery and suction side of pump for the purpose of measurement. The flow rate of water is measured using measuring tank and stop watch provided

This unit ofRefrigeration labconsists of a hermetically sealed compressor with air cooled condenser. The capillary or expansion valves are next to the condensers followed by medium temperature evaporators. Electrical energy supplied to the compressor can be measured by energy meter. The equipment is mounted on a sturdy frame with control panel.

In an ideal CSTR the contents in reactor are well mixed and have uniform composition throughout. Thus the exit stream has the same, composition as the fluid within the reactor. This type of reactor is known as mixed flow reactor. This set-up is used to study a non-catalytic homogeneous second order liquid phase reaction under ambient condition.

The set up consists of two feed tanks through which two reactants are fed to the reactor. Rotameters are provided to measure the individual flow of Chemicals. The flow rate can be adjusted by operating the needle valves provided on respective Rotameter. The magnetic drive pump is used for circulation of feed. The CSTR is fitted with stirrer for proper mixing. From top outlet of it samples are collected for analysis

The apparatus consists of a pipeline containing a Orificemeter. The pressure tapings from the Orificemeter to differential manometer to measure pressure difference. By operating the valves provided at the downstream the flow can be regulated.

Present set-up is self-contained water re-circulating unit, provided with a sump tank and a centrifugal pump. Flow control valve and by-pass valve are fitted in water line to conduct the experiment on different flow rates. Flow rate of water is measured with the help of measuring tank and stopwatch
