Control valves are valves used to control conditions such as flow, pressure, temperature, and liquid level by fully or partially opening or closing in response to signals received from controllers that compare a setpoint to a process variable whose value is provided by sensors that monitor changes in such conditions.Control Valve is also termed as the Final Control Element.
The opening or closing of control valves is usually done automatically by electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic actuators. Positioners are used to control the opening or closing of the actuator based on electric, or pneumatic signals. These control signals, traditionally based on 3-15psi (0.2-1.0bar), more common now are 4-20mA signals for industry, 0-10V for HVAC systems, and the introduction of Smart systems, HART, Fieldbus Foundation, and Profibus being the more common protocols. Some of the control valve available are Reverse Double-Ported Globe-Style Valve Body, Three-Way Valve with Balanced Valve Plug, Flanged Angle-style control valve body and . The MFC5150 HART Communicator is the latest addition to Meriams product line of hand-held calibrators and field communicators. Available in ATEX (intrinsically safe) and Non-ATEX models, the MFC5150 directly reads Device Descriptions without any translations or subscriptions, enabling communication to take place with any registered or unregistered HART device. This ensures your HART transmitter will connect, regardless of brand or model. The MFC5150 is built on the SDC-625 infrastructure and runs Windows CE. With a 1GHz processor and an 4GBMicro SD card, this HART communicator is ideal for all of your data storage needs. The 4.3 inch touchscreen provides excellent anti-glare viewing, allowing for comfortable mobile use in darkness or in bright sunlight. All functions are easily navigated via the full QWERTY keyboard and intuitive icons similar to that of a smart phone. The handheld HART device also features hyperlink menu paths, teachable device specific shortcuts, instant on, multiple languages, help context, videos and TAB access to panes just like on a computer.

Pressure Sensor Modules from Meriam Process Technologies are available in a several types and ranges to provide the ultimate in flexibility and convenience for portable calibration standards. Calibration coefficients for all modules are stored in non-volatile sensor module memory. This means any pressure module can be used in any Meriam MFT without manual programming of coefficients. Engineering units, including PSI, centimeters or inches of H2O (at 4C, 20C, or 60F), kg/cm2, kPa, mBars, Bars, millimeters, inches of Hg (at 0C ref. temp) and oz/in2 are all selectable from the MFT keypad.

The MH-600KT Hydraulic Calibration Pump uses a fully adjustable stroke control to allow for fast priming or filling of test systems. This gives the operator the ability to switch as needed to a smaller stroke for easier pumping at high pressure. MH-600KT Hydraulic Calibration Pump comes with a 2 year warranty (includes dropping). It also comes with a black padded canvas case, 2 ft. non-stretch hose and 1/4 to 1/8 adapters with (2) female NPT fittings attached to the hose.

The Meriam MDT500 Flow Measurement System is designed to allow users to accurately measure air and gas flow rates. The direct mounted, multivariable transmitter mounts to any Meriam LFE Model. LabVIEW Drivers and Software Development Kit are included to make using the MDT500 even easier. Using LabVIEW executable, ACFM, SCFM and mass flow are displayed on your PC. The MDT500 delivers impressive system accuracy of +/- 0.8% Flow Rate and a response time of less than 0.1 second. With long term stability and no moving parts the unit is maintenance free. The MDT500 provides a wide flow range, while maintaining accuracy and there is no drift over time and temperature. It delivers best repeatability and is also independent of orientation. The MDT500 offers linear response and a low head loss model is also available. Laminar applications include leak detection, calibration reference standards, critical gas flow measurements, combustion air flow to engines and many more.
LFE models for flanged process connections are conveniently mated to rigid piping with 150# ANSI flanges. Flange connections are available for pipe sizes from 2 (25.4 mm) to 16 (406.4 mm). All Stainless steel welded unit with fused matrix. Differential pressure connections are NPT.

Meriam raised-face orifice flange unions are designed to provide a convenient, accurate method for installing orifice plates. They incorporate accurately positioned pressure taps for connecting the flow measuring instruments. This eliminates the requirement of locating pressure taps in the field. Improper location of these taps will result in poor accuracy of the flow measuring system. These built-in taps also reduce field installation labor necessary for welding, drilling and/or tapping pressure taps on the flow line itself. Meriam orifice flanges are provided complete with nuts, bolts, gaskets and plugs for installation with no other parts required.

The Marsh Bellofram Type 10 Air Pressure Regulator is designed to control output pressure with accuracy of 0.1% and high-repeatability, with very low sensitivity to changes in supply pressure, ambient temperature and flow.
The highly rugged design of the Type 10 includes unique features such as high start-up stability, which eliminates the need for regulated start pressure readjustment after long downtimes with automatic return to output setting at start-up; incorporation of a high-gain pneumatic servo amplifier for regulated pressure, ranging from dead end to 20 cubic meters per hour (12 SCFM), held constant over substantial flow changes; incorporation of an extra-large capacity integral relief valve, for exhaust flow when regulated pressure is reset to a lower value, with automatic high downstream relief under dead end conditions; and incorporation of a high-performance servo-operated control mechanism in the regulator, for added pressure stability. The entire measuring element, including pilot valve, is fabricated from heat-treated stainless steel to eliminate hysteresis or permanent deformation under all working conditions. An integral relief valve provides for exhaust flow
whenever the regulated pressure is reset to a lower value. In addition, the available Type 10 motorized configuration allows for easy integration into open- or closed-loop process control systems and programmable controllers.
Type 72 and Type 72HR Positive Bias Booster Pneumatic Air Relays are positive bias booster pneumatic relays are used when high flow capacity is required. Offered in four adjustable ranges with exceptionally high flow capacity of up to 50 SCFM (1400 LPM) with minimal pressure droop, output pressure of the Type 72 & Type 72HR are accurately maintained under varying flow conditions by means of an aspirator tube, which adjusts the air supply valve opening in proportion to flow velocity.
A balanced supply valve utilizing a Bellofram patented internal rolling diaphragm makes the relay virtually immune to changes in supply pressure, while offering reliable performance over millions of cycles. Simple design makes maintenance easy, and the relay can be serviced without removing it from the line. The standard signal-to-output ratio is 1:1, but 1:2, 1:4 and 1:6 ratios are available on special request. An optional high-relief version (72HR) is also available.
Marsh Bellofram Type 3510 single and Type 3520 double loop electro-pneumatic servo pressure controllers combine the advantages of reliable solenoid valves and digital control, housed in a rugged, weatherproof enclosure. Available with a local keypad programming option or RS-485 digital communications for PLC or PC control, these precision controllers allow the user the ability to set and extract data directly from the transducer with a PC or automation system, making for some of the most precise, accurate, and reliable devices available on the market. With a forward flow of 1.25 SCFM at 100 psi, Types 3510 and 3520 can be used alone for many applications or combined with a volume booster for flows in excess of 2, 000 SCFM. Various pressure output ranges are available from 29 Hg vacuum to 600 psig. Standard accuracy is 0.5% full scale or better. Enhanced accuracy version is 0.25% full scale or better. A four-digit display of the output pressure is available with the keypad model.
The MFT 4000 Digital Calibrator is a base unit for pressure calibration work with selected NIST traceable sensor modules & integral voltage/current meter. The MFT 4010 Digital Calibrator with HART is a base unit for modules and full device specific HART communications. Quick Cal displays HART PV and AO along with MFTs NIST traceable measurements. User can identify needed trim(s) and access the trim function(s) from same display. Smart Trim allows selection of analog or digital trims without navigating through menu trees. Documenting included. Documenting memory stores up to 200 HART configuration files and over 100 calibration results (as-found & as-left data [up to 21 points each], time/date info, tag). Communicate with PC via DB-9 connector.
Available modules include differential, gauge, vacuum and absolute pressure as well as temperature calibration, and voltage/current calibration. A voltage and current meter is integral to the base unit. All HART field devices can be configured, polled, and trimmed using HART communications. Device Specific commands for supported devices are included with the MFT.

The most common primary flow element is the concentric orifice plate, often called the sharp-edged orifice plate. Its main advantages are: low cost, accuracy, ease of installation, variety of construction material and quick delivery. Much test data has been compiled about orifice plates and, with the necessary information, an exacting design can be made providing for excellent metering accuracy.
Engineered for each application, Meriam Orifice plates are precision bored to exact dimensions with a sharp upstream edge to ensure accuracy. Orifice information is stamped on the unique handle. This handle is designed to facilitate storage of the plate without damage to the orifice bore.
