Electric Motor with Newton’s Disc: Mounted on a wooden base 90 x 90 x 100 mm, workable on 2 to 4 volt DC with fan blade & Newton’s color disc.

For determining maximum density of water, made of G.I. sheet cylinder 50 mm diameter x 300 mm height mounted on a base having two tubulators for thermometers, with a gallery of 60 mm x 150 mm for placing mixture of ice & salt. The respective temperatures of water at the top & bottom of the inner cylindrical vessel are measured over a period as the water cools. Complete with bungs & thermometers. 

One Way: Two brass blocks 9 mm thick with brass terminals mounted on a 80 x 55 bakelite base. Accurately tapered plug with bakelite moulded top is fitted into the gap between the brass blocks. 

Two Way: same as above with three brass blocks on a 180 x 52 mm base. . 

omprises wooden former with terminals & engraved metal circle marked 0 – 180 – 0, divided & figured every 45º, with magnetic pivot, wound with 30 turns enamelled copper wire & complete with 75 mm magnetic needle with brass bearing. Maximum opening voltage 4.5 V. 

A versitile instrument for fine dissection work etc. The high eye point lens (either 10x or 20x) is mounted on a jointed arm allowing the whole stage has two spring clips and reversible sub stage mirror/opal face illuminator. Focusing is by a rack and pinion mechanism and detachable rests on either side stage provide a steadying support for hands during fine dissection. All metal construction. Supplied complete with 10x and 20x lenses in a wooden cabinet.

A heavy cast iron base fitted with leveling screws top machined over which slides a metal carriage which can be calmed at desired position. The stage carriers a vernier that travels over a stainless steel scale graduated in mm 0 to 16.5cms. A gunmetal pillar fixed to the stage has an embedded S.S. scale graduated 0 to 15cms and cariers a vertical travelling carriage with vernier horizontal stage for placing object is fitted with milky plate. The microscopic tube on vertical travelling carriage if focused by rack and pinion and has an achromatic objective, a ramsden eye piece 10x and a cross line graticule. Vernier read – in 0.1 mm supplied in wooden case. 

A horizontal tube 500 mm long with a bore of 10 mm is constructed near its centre & short side tubes are provided in each section for the attachment of glass manometer tubes 270 mm long with 8 mm bore. The apparatus is supplied complete with three glass manometer tubes & rubber tubes for connecting manometer tubes. 

This instrument is a compact instrument with full arrangements for conducting Newtons Ring Apparatus. A standard microscope with 30x magnification is provided with a rotatable cross line & the eye piece can be focused on individual requirements. The microscope tube unit can be raised or lowered & clamped at any desired position. The focusing of microscope is through rack & pinion. The longitudinal movement of the microscope saddle for the purpose of measurement of rings is done by rotating the drum provided. The 26 mm movement can be read by the scale & divided drum to 0.001 cm. This set consists of one optical flat glass & one plano convex lens (100 mm radius) arranged inside a metal case resting over the stage of the equipment which is adjustable for the alignment of the measuring line. The condenser lens is provided in front of the reflector. In case the ring set is removed from the stage, the instrument can be used as a simple compact measuring microscope. Supplied in box.

Comprises a glass container 90 x 90 x 150 mm. Rim shaped to hold the zinc rod to accommodate the cathode, a porous pot containing a carbon rod with terminal with a mixture of powdered carbon & manganese dioxide depolarize. Requires approx. 500 ml ammonium chloride electrolyte with zinc rod & porous pot but without electrolyte. The cell produces an EMF of about 1.5 volts.
