We offer India Mark III-Hand Pumps VLOM. This pump is a modified version of the India Mark II, based on the "VLOM" concept, strongly promoted by World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP and other development aid organizations during the Drinking Water and Sanitation Decade. "VLOM" means "Village Level Operation and Maintenance" management by users, especially women. According to the VLOM concept, aHand Pumps VLOMhas to be robust and reliable under field conditions, cost effective, and lastly be maintainable by users at village level

This hand pump can be supplied with different types of Stands, i.e., with standard three legs, or with a square or circular flange to suit the users' requirements.

• Cylinder is adaptable for use with Universal Cylinder components.
• The Cylinder incorporates an open top cap and suitable plunger and check valve assemblies to facilitate their removal for maintenance without the need to lift the riser pipes out of the borewell. This makes maintenance easily possible by village women caretakers / mechanics.
• Very easy to install up to depths of 30 m. Use of a tripod and chain pulley block is recommended beyond this depth.
• The water tank assembly has the appropriate coupler to suit 65 mm or 50 mm NB GI riser pipes. A special Cone Plate with rubber Cone is available for installation of PVC/HDPE riser pipes. The cone plate and cone can also be used to reduce stresses on the GI riser pipe joint to the Water Tank.

India mark-II Extra Deepwell handpumps are manufactured as per Bureau of Indian standards specs: viz. 13287/92 capable of lifting water upto 90 meters setting depth.

• These pumps are suitable for lifting water from depths of upto 90 meters.
• Heavier handle with a T-bar and additional weight ensures reduced pumping efforts. Even a teenage child or a woman can easily operate the pump.
• There is a similarity in component with India Mark II., And can components be interchanged.
• Both steel & stainless steel rods are available but stainless steel rods are recommended as per IS:1573 (steel rods are electro galvanized).
• Raiser Pipe-32mm N.B.G.I pipe of medium class solid coupler is recommended for coupling.
