Like their pipeline counterparts, Borosilicate glass column components find universal application throughout the worlds chemical, pharmaceutical, food and drink and allied industries where the advantage of using glass as a basis for the construction of complete process systems have long been recognized:

• With almost universal resistance to corrosion, a long service life is guaranteed and maintenance is kept to a minimum.

• Their transparency permits visual monitoring of the process at all times.

• Being inert, the risk of contamination is negligible.

• Smooth surfaces allow easy cleaning and sterilization and prevent the build-up of solid on the inner walls.

In many unit operations such as reaction, extraction and absorption, the transparency factor of glass column components is a particular advantage. As an example, colour changes in reaction processes are easily monitored, droplet separation in extraction processes can be observed unhindered and constant visual monitoring of hydraulic performance in packed columns is possible.
Column components are available from DN 80 to DN 450 with a smaller range of precision bore components available from DN 25 to DN 150 for specific applications where close internal tolerances are essential.
The complete range of column components is described on the following pages. All column components have standard flat buttress end connections. Further details of theses are provided in section: Technical Information.
For standard flat buttress end connections from DN25 to DN300, it is possible to achieve a 3 deflection in the joint by using a flexible gasket. Details of these and all other couplings and gasket can be found in section Couplings.
DN refers to the nominal bore. Unless otherwise stated all dimensions are given in mm.

Beakers moulded in Polypropylene have excellent clarity and very good chemical resistance. These autoclavable beakers have prominently raised graduations on the outer surface. Pouring a solution becomes very convenient because of its tapered spour.

This burette has a transparent acrylic body and a leakproof stopcock made fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug. Each burette is individually calibrated to give a maximum accuracy. Acrylic body is unaffected by dilute mineral acids and bases except Hydrofolic acid and Ammonium Hydroxide. The pH range from 1-14 is ideal and can be used upto 5% wt/wt of acids or 30% bases.

GSGI presents a fast release pipetting device for precise pipetting and zip quick empyting. The knurled thumbwheel can be rotated to draw up or dispense liquids while the releaser may bepushed in for zip-quick empyting. The moduled chuck has a silicon rubber collet inside to hold various pipettes of standard sizes. It resists acids and alkalies and can be easily disassembled for thorough cleaning.

Made of Polypropylene, these cone shaped flasks are rigid, translucent & autoclavable. The screw cap keeps the contents of the flask contamination free and makes the flask leak proof. Threads should be disengaged before autoclaving.

These transparent Specimen jars, used for preserving different specimens in the lab are provided with a cap that fits in tight. These jars provided excellent protection to the species preserved in it.

Moulded in Polypropylene, this Flask Stand gives a stair-like top view.

Every step provides excellent support to the round bottom flask at every

point of Contact. This Flask Stand can hold round bottom Flasks up to

10 Ltr. capacity This Stackable Flask Stand can also be steam autoclaved.

These non-corrosive, moulded Retort Stands provide excellent replacement for the metal ones. Even the metallic rod has a polypropylene covering making it non-corrosive. The rod measuring 12.5 mm x 750 mm can be screwed mm the heavy base giving way to a perfectly stable Retort Stand.

GSGI Desiccators are made of Polypropylene and Polycarbonate. These autoclavable vaccum desiccators can hold vaccum upto 740 mm of Fig for 24 hrs. without any greasing. The top dome, moulded in rigid and transparent Polycarbonate, gives a crystal clear view of the desiccant placed inside. The Knuiled knob on the top provides easy handling of the dome. The lower part is made of Polypropylene. An internal groove is provided on the flange to hold a silicon rubber 0- Ring. The Polypropylene stopcock is fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug. This plugworks three way i.e. vaccum creation, shutting off & vaccum releasing.

Plain Desiccators are physically the same as Vaccum Desiccatot Only difference is the absence of stop cock. Grease should be applied on the flanges to make it air tight.

These Polypropylene Petri Dishes are clear, unbreakable & autoclavable.

Newly added PS Petri Dish with fitting proves excellent for culture exp. Made in polystyrene, this transparent Petri Dish provides excellent inside view.

These sets consist of moulded balls of different colours and sizes along with connecting tugs of different sizes. These sets are very helpful in modelling different organic & Inorganic compounds.

This set consists of moulded balls of different cotours & sizes along with connectors of different sizes. The sizes & shapes of the halts & connecting lugs have been designed in accordance with internationally acceptable standards.

GSGI Coplinjar made of Polypropylene can h0ld 10 slides of the size 1 x3 back to back. The interior of the Coplin jar is grooved in a way to hold slides in erect position. Domed & shallow thread screw cap provides protection to the slides.

These polypropylene vials are unique because the cap fitted with an 0- ring can be screwed into the vial making it a leak proof vial which can be used in RIA, Coagulation & Bacteriology etc.

This transparent polypropylene cap for Test Tubes proves to be an excellent protection to the contents to the tubes. The grooves inside the cap tighten the fitting on the tube white the outer grooves would hold identification labels. The built in seal ring would set in the tube making the combination a leakproof one.

Polylab ELISA/ASSAY plates are made of optically clear, non-toxic Polystyrene. These plates with 96 U Bottom or flat bottom wells bear alphanumeric index. Uniform placement of all the wells facilitates use of multi channel pipettes. These plates packed individually are available non-sterile as well as radiation sterilized.

These transparent, ready to use, disposable Petri Dishes are made of optically clear, non-toxic, Polystyrene. These Pen-i Dishes packed individually in polyethylene bags are sterilized by radiation.

GSGI Volumetric Flasks, blown in Polypropylene, are strong, unbreakablc and have good contact clarity These autoclavable flasks are provided with screw caps to prevent leakage.

An economical substitute for wire racks, here are these submersible, autoclavable racks which are stackable when empty These are available in different colours and are made of a special blend of Polypropylene that makes it sink in a water bath and maintain their stability even in agitated water. These space saving racks can easily be disassembled for cleaning purposes. The base is in the form of a grid with square openings and has fold up sides and end bars that lock into rack tops.

This autoclavable Stand is perhaps the most commonly used Test Tube Stand in various laboratories. For better visibility, this 6 place rack is end supported by 2 columns. The top plate has 2 holes for holding 25 mm dia test tubes, four holes to hold 16 mm dia tubes where as the base has corresponding hemispherical wells. It also has six vertical pins for drying tubes.

GSI Measuring Clinders, moulded in Polypropylene & TPX, are single piece cylinders. These autoclavable cylinders have raised prominent graduations for easy reading and have excellent contact clarity. The broad base provides good stability.

Moulded in Polypropylene, this Staining Box helps in staining, fixing, de-staining and handling fragile electrophoresis gels and membranes. Box as well as cover will resist temperatures from -70C to +70C. The LDPE plug provides leakproof seal and allows easy liquid drainage.

Adding to the rangc of round & hexagonal base cylinders are the pentagonal ones. GSI now offers you a wide range of cylinders with different bases to choose from. Prominently raised graduation & excellent contact clarity are among the other features of these cylinders.

GSI Seperatory Funnel is made of Polypropylene, giving it excellent contact clarity and strength. This pear shaped, autoclavable seperating funnel has a leakproof threaded screw cap. The Polypropylene stopcock, fitted with a self lubricating PTFE plug, is push fitted to the stem or the seperatory funnel.
