Chisel plough is designed to break the hard bottom of soil between 9 Inch to 16 Inch, which is normally formed because of standard plough used in the field. The purpose of breaking the hard bottom soil is to deliver rain and irrigation water easily to broken area and provide the water storage. Above hard bottom soil area, the soil is less open because of the slim structure of the tines. So that the moisture can be kept for a long time and also wind and erosion are decreased.
