The BC1000A/B series is a flame switch for intermittent operation to indicate presence or absence of a flame and to be applied in commercial or industrial burner installations. The BC1000A can also be used as a primary control for manually operated burner systems using a start/stop station. The microprocessor- based programming sequence ensures
extremely stable timings independent of voltage variations,
ambient temperature and/or switch-on cycles. The
built-in information system not only provides a continuous
monitoring of the actual state of the box (very helpful especially
for monitoring the start-up phase) but also informs
about the cause of a possible lock out. The lock out cause
is stored in such a way that it can be retrieved even after a
power failure.
The control box is designed for maximum safety in case of
fluctuations in the voltage supply. If the mains voltage drops
below the permitted level, operation is interrupted and the
control box automatically prevents the start sequence from
being repeated. In this way, the safety of the system is not
put at risk by a drop in the mains voltage. This low-voltage
protection works not only during start-up but also permanently

TECHNICAL FEATURES

INSTALLATION
Install the governor with the diaphragm positionedhorizontally (on horizontal pipes). Be careful to followalways the direction of gas flow indicated by the arrow onthe governor.Suitable tools must be used for the governor fitting on theinlet and outlet hubs. Never effect leverage on the sleeveof the upper cover when fitting the governor.For all models with the filter inside, the governor is bestfitted at a comfortable height from the ground so as tofacilitate the filter cleaning (fit always a suitable gas filterupstream the governor).Make sure that the pipes are clean and aligned so thegovernor is not under stress.Do not remove the perforated diaphragm breather cap (3)and do not obstruct the hole, otherwise the governor willnot work. Install the governor so avoiding contact withplastered walls.Make sure that the governor is suitable to the intended use.
The burner control units BCU 480 control, ignite and monitor gas burners for intermittent or continuous operation. As a result of their fully electronic design, they react quickly to various process requirements and are therefore suitable for frequent cycling operation. They can be used for industrial burners of unlimited capacity which are ignited by pilot burners. Pilot and main burners may be modulating or stage-controlled. The BCU 480 monitors pilot and main burners independently. The pilot burner can burn permanently or be switched off. The BCU is installed near the burner to be monitored. On industrial furnaces, the BCU reduces the load on the central furnace control by taking over tasks that only relate to the burner, for example it ensures that the burner always ignites in a safe condition when it is restarted. The air valve control assists the furnace control for cooling, purging and capacity control tasks.The program status, the unit parameters and the level of the flame signal can be read directly from the unit. The burner can be controlled manually for commissioning and diagnostic purposes. If the local requirements on the burner control unit change, the PC software BCSoft can be adjusted to the unit parameters of the application by using the optical interface. The service personnel is supported by a convenient visualization system of the input and output signals and the error history.
The new power management scheme reduces installation and wiring costs. The power for the valves and ignition transformer is supplied via the power supply of the BCU, protected by a replaceable fine-wire fuse. The conventional wide-spread systems used in industrial furnace and kiln construction require bridging of large distances for signal processing. The optionally available BCU.B1 for connection to the PROFIBUS DP fieldbus is equipped for this purpose. As a standardized fieldbus system, the PROFIBUS DP considerably reduces development, installation and commissioning costs compared to conventional wiring.
The use of a standard bus system offers massive benefits compared to manufacturer specific bespoke solutions. Time-tested hardware components, standardized connection methods and a series of tools of bus diagnostics and optimization are available on the market from a whole range of manufacturers.
The widespread use of the system ensures that the planning and service personnel are very familiar with how the system operates and how to handle it and can therefore operate the system efficiently.
The BIO burner is designed for industrial furnaces and firing systems in the iron and steel industries in the precious, non-ferrous, and light metal sector, as well as in the plastics, fiber, and paper industries. Other fields of application are thermal incineration installations, as well as dryers and hot-air generators. For low temperature applications (e.g. for crucible heating, radiant tube heating, or hot-air generation), the burners are equipped with a heat-resistant steel attachment tube. For high temperature applications (e.g. forging furnace), the burners are used in combination with a burner quarl made from refractory concrete. Different flame shapes can be achieved by using burner quarls with a different geometry. The burner can be adapted to the system requirements using different burner tube lengths.

The AIR-300 is a microprocessor based air quality monitor/controller utilizing a hot wire element sensor based upon the Taguchi principle. This is a full spectrum sensor sensitive to a wide variety of air pollutants such as carbon monoxide, smoke, benzene, alcohols, hydrogen, hydrocarbons, esters, etc.
This sensor is better suited to measuring air quality than a sensor which measures only Carbon Dioxide. The AIR-300 yields a true indication of the actual air quality, rather than occupancy. For example, if a person were to smoke a in a room, the carbon dioxide sensor would be inadequate in detecting this, even though the air quality had significantly degraded. This same set of circumstances holds true for many other contaminants such as Solvents, Fuels, and even Carbon Monoxide, all of which are much more harmful than Carbon Dioxide.
When measuring Air Quality, it is not so much the type of contaminant that is of concern, but rather the presence of any contaminants. This sensor does not indicate which contaminant is in the air, but indicates the presence and quantity of any contamination.
The Greystone AIR-300 monitor/controller works by looking at the signal from a full spectrum sensor, automatically compensating for temperature and humidity effects, and judging the degree of pollution. For the unit to perform efficiently it must work as a monitor/controller, i.e. it must be able to act upon level changes. The output is represented as an analog, stepped or relay output with user adjustable settings. This output can be used to directly control an actuator, or be sent back to a Building Automation System (BAS).
The AIR-300 can be configured to run in auto or manual mode and has an integral sensitivity adjustment to provide the user with the optimum settings to monitor a specified area. There are internal LED indicators to show microprocessor status and also a manual override feature to assist in installing the unit.
