Expansion Joints

We offer the best product range of PTFE Expansion Joints, Rubber Expansion Joints, Gas Turbine Expansion Joints, Non-Metallic Expansion Joints and Metallic Expansion Joints.

PTFE Expansion Joints

The outstanding property of Flips make PTFE expansion joints is their astounding resistance to aggressive chemicals and solvents. Accordingly, they are used primarily in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries, as well as in the foodstuffs and beverages industries. Flipss non-sensitive PTFE expansion joints have also proven their worth in the pipeline systems operated by waste disposal and treatment companies.

All Flips make PTFE expansion joints have absorbent, compensating and tension - reducing properties. Furthermore, White PTFE bellows are not electrically conductive and thus can be used as insulators. Black PTFE bellows, on the other hand, are the solution of choice in hazardous areas, since the inclusion of carbon black prevents static charge.

What FLIPS make PTFE Expansion Joints Do:

  • Compensate motion
  • Compensate expansion caused by differences in temperature
  • Reduce tension
  • Damp oscillation, noise and vibration transmissions
  • Compensate imprecise assembly

Rubber Expansion Joints

Flips make rubber expansion joints impress with their compensating and damping material properties. Excessive force, arising within the pipeline, is deflected by our rubber expansion joints before this can be passed on to adjacent components.

Our expertise, in designing and constructing rubber expansion joints, is reflected in their long service life and high operational reliability. This explains why most Indian nuclear power plants are equipped with Flips make expansion joints.

Flips make REJ pipe connections are made of high-quality rubber. They are used in industrial environments and in plant and process engineering, as well as in mechanical engineering, in the production of motors and the construction of industrial equipment, and even in shipbuilding. They have also found their way into building services engineering, environmental engineering and hydraulics.

What FLIPS make Rubber Expansion Joints Do:

  • Damp oscillation, noise and vibration
  • Compensate motion
  • Compensate expansion caused by differences in temperature
  • Reduce tension
  • Compensate ground and foundation settling
  • Compensate imprecise assembly
  • Serve as assembly and disassembly aids
  • Provide an elastic wall seal for penetration assemblies
  • Compensate pipeline movements aboard ships

Non-Metallic Expansion Joints

Thousands of Flips India Engineering round and rectangular non-metallic expansion joints are in successful service in applications within utilities, municipalities, smelters, steel mills, refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, cement plants, pulp and paper mills, waste heat recovery and cogeneration facilities.

To meet a clients specific requirements, Flips India Engineerings experienced expansion joint product team produces innovative designs for economy of installation, operation and energy efficiency.

These non-metallic joints can be designed to handle temperatures to 2000F/1093C. The joints are manufactured from a variety of materials including elastomers and fluoroplastics, non-asbestos reinforcements and various insulating materials. Proper installation is a critical factor in the successful long-term operation of any expansion joint. The Flips India Engineering experienced service technicians routinely perform or supervise expansion joint installations, replacements or repairs around the world.

Metallic Expansion Joints

Flips India Engineering is a leader in the design and manufacture of thin-walled, high performance convoluted metallic bellows expansion joints in round and rectangular configurations. In addition to design expertise of the expansion joint itself, the companys application engineering capability allows Flips India Engineering to apply the joints in the piping/ducting systems to properly accommodate the movements caused by thermal growth, pressure contraction, machine vibration, seismic disturbances and installation irregularities.

Flips India Engineering make Metallic Expansion Joints are designed to operate under the most severe temperatures and pressures: temperatures to 2000F/1093C and pressures to over 1000 PSIG/69 bar. As a fully qualified ASME code fabricator, Flips India Engineering is able to design and manufacture expansion joints in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

Round metal bellows can be manufactured in diameters ranging from 4' to 25. Bellows can be designed to carry numerous types of media including steam, emission gases, water, acids, alkalis and hydrocarbons.

WFlips India Engineering has manufacturing expertise in all relevant metals including stainless steels, high nickel alloys, titanium and aluminum.

The Flips India Engineering family of metal expansion joints: (round or rectangular).

  • Convolution Bellows
  • Single or Multiple Ply
  • Camera Corner Bellows
  • Round Corner Bellows

The above list of expansion joints are also designed and manufactured in the following styles:

  • Axial
  • Universal
