Epdm Rubber

EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M class) rubber), [1][2][3] a type of synthetic rubber, is an elastomer characterized by a wide range of applications. The Mrefers to its classification in ASTM standard D-1418; the M class includes rubbers having a saturated chain of the polymethylene type. Dienes currently used in the manufacture of EPDM rubbers are dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), ethylidene norbornene (ENB), and vinyl norbornene (VNB). EPDM rubber is closely related to ethylene propylene rubber(ethylene propylene rubber is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene, whereas EPDM rubber is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and a diene-component). Flexilis Pvt Ltd is importer and authorised stockist of SABIC EPDM. EPDM rubber used for making seals, hose, pond liners, belts, vibrators, solar panel, various metal roofing system, sprayed foam, fiberglass, PVC, weathered vinyl, weathered strip profile, moulded goods, rubber compound, brake parts, roof sheeting, window profile, wire and cable, gasket, conveyer belt, weather seals, industrial hose, air hose, industrial gasket, oring, washing machine gasket.

Butyl Rubber

Butyl rubber is a synthetic rubber, a copolymer of isobutylene with isoprene. The abbreviation IIR stands for isobutylene isoprene rubber. Polyisobutylene, also known as "PIB" or polyisobutene, (C4H8)n, is the homopolymer of isobutylene, or 2-methyl-1-propene, on which butyl rubber is based. Butyl rubber is produced by polymerization of about 98% of isobutylene with about 2% of isoprene. Structurally, polyisobutylene resembles polypropylene, having two methyl groups substituted on every other carbon atom.

Natural Rubber

Natural rubber obtained from the latex of tree Hevea Brasiliensis, native of Brazil and grown in tropical region of globe 15 on either side of equator. South America, West Africa Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and India are major producers of NR. Ribbed smoke sheets(RSS) taken out of smoke house are visually examined by holding against clear light & graded as RSS1X, RSS-1, RSS-2, RSS-3, RSS-4 & RSS-5 depending on the colour, translucency, bubbles, blisters, dirt, sand and other foreign matter. In general RSS sheet should be dry, clean, strong sound, evenly smoked, reasonably free from blemishes specks, sand, resinous matter & dirty packing, small pin head bubbles, if scattered, should not be objected to.
