Laminated glass is two or more sheets joined together with an interlayer like polyvinyl butyral (PVB), to which the glasses adhere to under specific heat and pressure conditions. Once sealed together, the glass 'sandwich' behaves as a single unit and looks like a normal glass. However, laminated units are unarguably the safest glass product since the glasses stay in place in the event of breakage nullifying any risk of injury.
