The Ferrites India make Gaussmeters with the help of Hall Probe as a detector are capable of giving direct reading of magnetic field values.

Testing of Magnetostrication
Magnetostriction is a phenomenon where the sample is applied a magnetic field and change in its physical dimensions are measured using a strain gauge. Typical output of Magnetostricion measurement is shown below.
Testing of Solid Rods
Test pieces in round or square rod forms can be very easily tested for their DC properties. Properties such as coersivity, permeability, magnetization can be tested. The field for testing can be taken to 600A/cm. With our newly designed fixture, it can be taken up to 1000A/cm.

Stator Stack Testing
Stacks built with punched laminations can have lot of quality issues. Even though the lamination material is tested in sheet format before any process, that alone is not sufficient to guarantee good quality stators. Wear and tear of the punch, bad welding, bad insulating coating in annealing add to the magnetic losses in the stator. It is always advisable to test the stator core in its final format before winding to ensure good quality throughout the production batch.

Incoming material inspection can be very useful where strict quality standards are maintained. It saves a lot of processing cost since lossy material is inspected at the entry level before it goes to production level. Epstein Stack testing is one of the oldest and widely used method for electrical sheet testing.
Another method newly emerging is Single Sheet Testing.
Similar to Epstein stack testing, this method uses less material. Ferrites India Make Epstein Stack and Single Sheet Tester adhere to ASTM standards and provide accurate results.
Testing of Laminated Toroids
Laminated Toroids can be tested at DC and AC frequencies. Ferrites India provides testing for extensive varieties of toroid sizes, frequencies and properties.
The HLT can take measurements on samples With coercivities as low as mA/cm. Fig. shows DC Hysteresis Loop of Vitrovac sample having coercivity in the range of 1.6 mA/cm.
The squareness of the loop as low as 1.007 can be measured. Fig. show DC and 50Hz measurements of ultra soft materials with Br Value.
Relative Permeability as high as 3, 00, 000 lacscan be measured with this instrument
Accurate measurements of watt-loss at desired flux densities. Watt-loss as low as 0.01Watts/kg can be measuredon the HLT machine.
DC Field of testing can be as low as 0.1Oe FS to as large as 400Oe FS.

In the measurement of magnetic fields by means of Hall probes or measuring coils it is necessary to calibrate the instruments in a known magnetic field. Our standard field coil according to Helmholtz enables the production of a magnetic field calculable with high accuracy from the dimensions and the amperage. In series arrangement with an accurate ammeter field strengths of up to 800A/cm are produced. The field room is accessible both in axial and radial direction.
Helmholtz coils with fluxmeters are also useful in testing of magnets. Helmholtz coils give repeatable results as against the search coils due to which the magnets can be compared with more accuracy for their total flux and in tern their quality.

Pole detectorsare used only to check the polarity of the magnet.
It is used where magnet strength is not required to be measured.
FI make pole detectors are rugged and handheld to make them useful in the field.
WorkingThe tip of the unit detects the field polarity.The magnet surface is placed parallel to the unit tip.Two 1.5V AA battery operated. Power ON Switch activates the sensors and gives visual indicationin form of two LEDs placed on the arm of the unit.
Flux meter has been the established standard for the measurement of magnetic flux density for determining total flux in a magnet or magnetic assembly. Its use was curtailed except in a few specialized areas because of many factors such as the difficulty in setting up light beam flux meter or ballistic galvanometers, limitations on the ohmic resistance of search coils, the requirement of some degree of operator skill in reading the flux meter etc. The development of the integrating type Digital Flux meter has virtually cancelled the hitherto negative aspects of fluxmeterology and has found a broad niche for many magnetic measurement applications.
The integrating type Digital Flux meter overcomes all the drawbacks and limitations associated with the earlier type of instruments. Search coil ohmic resistance is of no consequence insofar as instrument damping is concerned. Physical installation of the flux meter is simple with no special levelling requirements and ease of readability of the digital instrument is straightforward for any class of operator.
The digital readout also enhances resolution and accuracy of readings.
Integrating type Digital Flux meter developed by us is capable of giving space or time varying flux values in any coil by integrating the induced emf.
