The Rotary Dryers/Calcinators are mostly used in for free flowing powders and granular material and can operate with high through put, and if required can operate at high temperature also. They are sometime supplied with another rotary equipment to work as after cooler.

The rotary shall is made of steel which is mounted on heavy duty rollers and driven by gear box/geared motor. The variable drive is employed to control trough put. They are having counter or Co-current design. The specially designed internal flights lifts the material, showers it on drying gases, ensuring proper heat transfer, and help in forward movement of material through rotary drum. The main rotary shell is insulated from outside to reduce hot losses.

The hot is supplied from indirect or direct fried hot air generator, working on oil, gas or solid fuel fired.

The exhaust equipment consist of cyclone, beg filter and exhaust blower and some time a chimney is also supplied as optional.

The standard size starts from 300 mm to 1500 mm diameter and 5000 mm up to 15000 mm long

They are quick, efficient, continuous and less labour intensive. They can be used for drying wet cake/granular having up to 80% moisture but material should have charecrisitc of free following after drying.

STANDARD FEATURES

• The material is feed in mixture, which disintegrates it into smaller lumps, which are then feed into drying chamber by variable feeder, driven by geared motor, having specially designed stirrer. The Hot Air enters the drying chamber and under high turbulence condition, drying process starts. The dried material travels upward in drying chamber under influence of process blower and is separated in cyclone and bag-filter.

• The material of construction is M.S., S.S, and Aluminum depending upon process requirements.

• The process air is heated by any of the option:- steam , thermic fluid , hot air generator, working on eighther oil, or gas or solid fuel f.

• The drying capacity up to 800 kg/hr moisture removal rate is offered as standard equipments
