SSLE | Top Inlet Bottom Outlet | 1/2"-1" | AISI 304 | Screwed/ Flanged | 400 PSI (28 Bar) |
Principle :: | ||||
The flow velocity of the steam, air or gas is significantly reduced as it enters the body and a series of baffles change its flow direction several times. The relatively heavy water droplets impact on the internal baffles and are accumulated. Gravity allows the accumulated water droplets and other foreign particles to fall to the drain and removed from the system using either a steam trap, or when used on air or gas distribution system, a liquid drainer.

Principle :: | ||||||
Inverted Bucket Steam Traps operate on difference in density between gas and liquid. Steam enters the inverted submerged bucket and it imparts buoyancy to the bucket, as a result of which, it is lifted and closes the discharge valve. When condensate enters the Trap and reaches a certain level, the weight of the bucket multiplied by leverage exceeds the differential pressure holding the valve to seat and bucket sinks and opens the valve to discharge condensate. Accumulated air, CO2and other non-condensable gases are discharged first prior to condensate.
