PTFE blended with carbon granules substantially improves the resin’s hardness, thermal conductivity and resistance to creep, giving the end product better wear-and-tear characteristics. Carbon, being anti-static, gives the compound good electrical conductivity.
PTFE blended with glass granules substantially improves the resin’s High modulus and surface hardness, less thermal expansion, less creep, high electrical insulation, increases coefficient of friction, compressive strength Chemically inert (except its reactivity with hydrofluoric acid and strong bases)and improves the wear and dimension stability.
PTFE blended with Bronze granules substantially improves dimensional stability and lowers creep, cold flow and wear. It increases hardness and compressive strength whilst also increasing thermal and electrical conductivity.
