Our Remote-Readable Pulse Output Water Meters provide a great way to monitor water usage, either locally or remotely, in order manage and control how much water is being consumed by multiple users. Our meters are well made, industrial-grade stainless steel. You can use them as a traditional read-off-the-face water meters, or you can use the pulse output to count pulses as they happen for a given amount of water flow. Each meter produces a pulse for a specific amount of water that is measured. The pulses can be counted remotely by our EKM Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and EKM Push system. Or you can set up the water meters with a local digital display with our 8 Digit Pulse Counter.
Our High Definition 3/4" models are designed to generate pulses at a high rate to provide high granularity data when set up to read with a computer. This high granularity can provide better insights into usage patterns. In particular, it can tell you if you have a leak in your water system, because it only takes 0.6 of a pint of water leakage to generate a pulse. In other words, if you see a pattern of pulses when you shouldnot (when you arenot intentionally using water) then you probably have a leak somewhere. The number of pulses over a given period of time will tell you how severe the leak is.

The experimental setup consists of a metal bar, one end of which is heated by an electrical heater while the other end projects inside a cooling water jacket. The middle portion is surrounded by a cylindrical shell filled with insulating powder and five thermocouple are placed on the bar for temperature measurement. For radial measurement of temperature 4 thermocouples are placed at a sections/radius of 42.5 mm&55mm in the insulating shell.
The heater is provided with a dimmerstat for controlling the heat input, water under a constant head is circulated through the jacket and its flow rate and temperature rise are measured using measuring jar and temperature sensors.
The function of a governor is to regulate the mean speed of an engine, when there are variations in the load e.g. when the load on an engine increases, its speed decreases, therefore it becomes necessary to increase the supply of working fluid.When the load on the engine decreases, its speed increases and thus less working fluid is required. The governor automatically controls the supply of working fluid to the engine with the varying load conditions and keeps the mean speed within certain limits.
The porter governor is a modification of a Watts governor, with central load attached to the sleeve. The load moves up down the central spindle. This additional downward force increases the speed of revolution required to enable the balls to rise to any to any pre-determined level.

Hardness of a material is generally defined as Resistance to the permanent indentation under static and dynamic load. When a material is required to use under direct static or dynamic loads, only indentation hardness test will be useful to find out resistance to indentation. In Brinell hardness test, a steel ball of diameter (D) is forced under a load (F) on to a surface of test specimen. Mean diameter (d) of indentation is measured after the removal of the load (F). Hardness represents the resistance of material surface to abrasion, scratching and cutting, hardness after gives clear indication of strength. In all hardness tests, a define force is mechanically applied on the piece, varies in size and shape for different tests. Common indentors are made of hardened steel or diamond. Rockwell hardness tester presents direct reading of hardness number on a dial provided with the m/c. principally this testing is similar to Brinell hardness testing. It differs only in diameter and material of the indentor and the applied force. Although there are many scales having different combinations of load and size of indentor but commonly C scale is used and hardness is presented as HRC. Here the indentor has a diamond cone at the tip and applied force is of 150 kgf. Soft materials are often tested in B scale with a 1.6mm dia. Steel indentor at 60kgf.

Industrial flow measurements include measuring of flow rate of solids, liquids and gases. There are two basic ways of measuring flow ; one on volumetric basis and the other on weight basis.
