Variable-Speed Belts provide top performance on variable speed drives. The belt adjusts itself automatically to the pulley groove providing a wide range of speeds and speed ratios. Variable-Speed belts have a distinct shape as their belt top widths are usually greater than their thickness. This permits a greater range of speed ratios than standard belts. Usually cogged or notched on the underside, these belts are specified for use on variable speed sheave drives requiring exact speed control and maximum range of speed changes. A Poly V-belt is a flat belt made up to form a ring with internal length-wise grooves. The flat section represents the reinforcing component and the length-wise ribs ensure adequate grip by fitting in the grooves of the corresponding pulleys. Poly V-Belts belts offer high power capacity in a single flexible low stretch belt. The continuous high tensile synthetic cord makes maximum utilization of the face width and ensures a uniform tension through the belt. Synchro Power Timing Belts |
A synchronous timing belt is a toothed belt, usually of reinforced rubber / poly-urethane that meshes with the grooves of a pulley in a synchronous belt drive. It usually drives the camshaft in an internal combustion engine. These belt drives, unlike flat and V-belt drives are positive and maintain constant speed during power transmission, thereby avoiding slippage. Synchronous Belts have a trapezoidal tooth profile. These belts are based on imperial (inch) as well as metric (mm) pitch sizes. |
