The Trainer has single phase 230V/12-0-12V/500mA/50Hz transformer, Diode 1N4007 (1 No) for Half wave, Diode 1N4007 (2Nos) for Center tap and Diode 1N4007 (4Nos) for bridge type with Variable Load resistor of @ 10K as to form HWR, Center tap and Bridge type Full wave Rectifier (FWR), Filters used C, CLC, LC & type, facility to select the HWR/FWR with and without filter, DC output @ 12V, different values of capacitor used to study the effect on ripple factor and maximum test points to observe signals on CRO and DMM.

Objectives :

• To Study the Half Wave Rectifier (HWR) without and with C, CLC, LC & filter.
• To Study the Center tap Full Wave Rectifier (FWR) without and with C, CLC, LC & filter.
• To Study the Bridge type Full Wave Rectifier (FWR) without and with C, CLC, LC & filter.
• To observe & Note the change in ripple factor w.r.t. change in type of filter.
• To Observe and note I/P and O/P waveforms on CRO.

This has Built-In AC 12-0-12V 50Hz and +12V/500mA DC Power supply, two SCR2P4M used for Full rectifier, facility to select SCR in full/ Bridge wave, two SCRs 2P4M and two diodes 1N4007 forms bridge rectifier, facility to select resistive, inductive load and capacitor filter, two separate UJT controlled gate triggering circuits, facility to control the individual gate current of SCR, facility to vary RC time constant to provide half controlled (upto 900) full wave rectified output, maximum test points provided to observe the intermediate effects.

• To Study single phase SCR Full wave half controlled rectifier with resistive & inductive load. To Observe change in the O/P corresponding to change in gate I/P. To observe & Note Firing angle & Conduction Angle. To observe change in the DC O/P w.r.t. change in gate I/P.

 This has Built-In DC ±12V/500 mA regulated fixed and variable ±12V Power supply, facility to apply Variable ±12V DC inputs and external AF inputs, OP-AMP IC 741 with resistive network and  10Kï load resistor can be wired in Inverting and Non-Inverting  amplifier mode to provide the inverted/non-inverted amplified output for the applied DC/AF inputs, components bank for R1 and RF, easy to configure in Inverting and Non-inverting mode, maximum Test Points to observe all corners of experiment.

• To Study operation of IC741 as Inverting Amplifier circuit. To Observe & Note inverted O/P w.r.t. applied inputs. To study “Why this amplifier is called as Inverting Amplifier”.
