This Equipment is to speed up the process with ease and accuracy to prepare cylindrical specimens for Marshal Stability Testing Machine. The compactor has been designed to simulate hand compaction as described in ASTM D1559. This apparatus automatically compacts the sample and stops after preset number of blows has been completed. The Compactor gives Uniformly and accurately compacted marshal moulds for reliable testing.

General Descripation & Specifications

It is a motor driven mechanical compactor useful for compaction into 100 mm dia moulds. It is fitted with a compaction rammer of 98.5mm dia, weighing 4.535 kg. with a free fall of 457 mm. The rammer assembly is provided with a ratchet and pawl arrangement to lift it from the top of the test sample. When the rammer reaches the required height the pawl release the rammer which falls freely on test specimen. The release mechanism is connected by an arm moving up and down which is connected to a reduction gear coupled to the motor through another arm. An automatic blow counter fitted to the compactor is used to set the number of blows. The Compactor is supplied complete with wooden pedestal. Suitable to work on 220V, 50 Hz, AC single phase.

  Pre installation mandatory requirement : (Guarantee void in case of non compliance)
  • An operator shall maintain Room temperature around machine preferably at 25 C with air conditioning system or shall arrange for a well ventilated room with exhaust fan. However, surrounding temperature should not exceed 30 C .
  • Stabilized Input Voltage of 230 Volt, 50 Hz, 20 Amps, AC Supply must be available for error less performance of the instrument. Use of Servo Controlled Stabilizer is recommended.

Used to maintain in water the Marshal specimens to be tested at 600+ 10 (Asphalt specimens) or 37.80+ (Tar Specimens) as prescribed by the specifications. The Same Water bath can also be used for Penetration test, Stripping test or even soundness test of cement with the use of additional accessories. Available in different sizes and temperature control system.

Dissolution rate test equipment consists of a water bath made of perspex sheet with transparent at top, fitted with a thermostatic control, maintains the temperature of water 37 deg. C. Covered vessel 1000 ml made of corning glass. Provided with variable speed motor. Cylindrical basket and shaft with blades of stainless steel. Only distilled water be filled in the water bath.

Air Circulation

Temperature is maintained by a quiet running blower circulation air through out the chamber. Forced air circulated vertically down and re circulated through out the chamber for uniform temperature and humidity.

Humidity

Humidity created by steam injection method. The boiler tank is fitted in the back side of the chamber for better servicing, Electro magnetic switch for controlling the wet heater from burning off if water level is not adequate. Float valve provided to control water level in the boiler tank.

Heating & Cooling System

Long lasting SS tubular heaters used as heating element. The stainless steel tins provided to ensure better heat transfer. Hermetically sealed compressor CFC free compressor (134 A gas) coupled with evaporation coil and condensor.

ICH Guidelines

As per ICH Guide lines, stability studies to be carried out under the following conditions.

Long Term

At 25C (+/- 2C) & 60% RH (+/- 5% RH)

Validation ; Validation of the chamber (Heat Mapping) will be done at 8 zones in the chamber using 8 channel scanner (4 works and printout of the result will be provided. For on site validation charges extra.
