Features

  • Rugged & Reliable: The impeller shaft and casing are Aluminum cast. Side Channel Blowers are built tough for continuous 24-hour operation.
  • Minimal Lubrication Required: The rotating parts of Industrial Ring Vacuum Blowers are not in contact with the casing. There is, therefore, no friction during operation and thus no internal lubrication is necessary. Only the bearings need occasional lubrication after many hours of operation.
  • Low Noise Level: These are direct drive units with integral silencers, which ensures low noise levels.

ConstructionDynavac Side Channel Blowershave low-noise, high-efficiency, class F insulated CE certified induction motors. Our ring blowers are made from cast aluminum alloy, and are corrosion resistant. They are suitable for the most demanding applications. The bearings used in our blowers are Japanese NSK bearings.
Operation

  • Industrial Ring blowers are manufactured for both pressure and vacuum service. When a ring blower is used for pressure, it is usually configured for use as air supply units or compressors, while vacuum blowers are frequently used as vacuum pumps or fume/dust exhausters.
  • All regenerative ring blowers consist of an impeller that spins within a housing. This housing contains both an intake channel and an outboard channel; hence the name side channel blowers. When the impeller moves past the intake port, air is drawn in and trapped between the impeller blades. As the impeller continues to turn, the air is pushed both inward and outward through both channels, and this process continues until the impeller stops rotating.
  • It is this regenerative process that allows the side channel blower to function as both a pressure blower and a vacuum blower. While the air trapped between two impeller blades represents only a small pressure increase, the sum total of the blades, from intake to outlet, is capable of powerful continuous operating pressures.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning - When dust or residue is evident, clean the entire surface of the ring blower
  • Lubrication - After approximately 20, 000 hours of operation or 18 months, replace the grease in the bearings

How It WorksDynavac fume extraction systems consist of three basic parts: a capture point where fumes are captured, an airflow source to pull fumes through the system, and a filter system to remove the pollutants.
Fume captureThe most efficient fume extraction systems remove the fumes as close as possible to their source. The best way to accomplish this is always dictated by the type of work being done :

  • For tasks involving a small work area, such as hand soldering, the collection point can be situated extremely close to the source of the fumes, almost at the tip of the soldering iron. This is called Tip Extraction.
  • For tasks that involve a larger working area, a higher volume fume extraction method must be used, consisting of hood or nozzle situated over the source of the fumes. This is called Volume Extraction.

Airflow SourceThe airflow source for Dynavac fume extractors are centrifugal blowers. These blowers provide the required vacuum and airflow to draw the unhealthy fumes through the filtration system and exhaust the clean air.
Filter SystemDepending on the type of application, our fume extraction system uses specially designed cartridge filter(s). These filters intake the fume and post filtration exhaust clean air.
ApplicationDynavac fume extractors are source capture fume extractors. General applications include MIG welding, TIG welding, stainless steel pipe welding, spot welding, brazing, and more.
