Preparation of substratesSubstrates must be stable, dry, free from any rising damp, without cracks, free from dust, oil, grease and loose, flaky parts. On substrates which are compact but very absorbent, apply Hydro Prime, water based surface insulations, in order to reduce and regulate the level of absorption. In the case of absorbent substrates with weak consistency, apply in double coats without dilution of water.

ApplicationApply Dubond DU Level With a smoth Spread. The high lvel of thixotrophy of the mixture allows for high fininjshing thickness with just one coating .It is generally advisable to apply an initial fine layer, pressing the products down to obtain maximum adhesion to the subsequent layers.  The apprearance of the finish will vary depending on wheather a smooth steel spreader or a sponge spreader has for application. For subsequent  laying of creamic tiles it is always advisable to obtaion a roughened, porous surface.

PreparationPreparation Dubond DU Level in a clean container by pouring in 3/4 of the water required. Gradually add DU Level to the water, mixing the paste with a low-rev (400/min) helicoidal agitator. Add water until a homogeneous, lump-free mortar is obtained. The amount of water to be added indicated on the packaging, is an approximate guide.

Preparation

• Do not use Du Level for levelling purposes or for the correction of substrate irregularities greater than 10 mm.
• Do not add other binders or additives to the mixture low temperatures and high relative environment humidity
• lengthen drying times and excessive quantity of water will reduce strength and the drying time before laying
• hardwood floors and resilient materials.
• Check residual humidity with hygrometer calcium carbide.
• Protect from direct sunlight and currents of air for the first 12 hours.
• Respect the elastic joints present in the substrate.
• Do not use on high flexible susbtrates subjected to thermal expansion, plasterboard, gypsum, on substrates
• subjected to continuous moisture rising.

High-absorption substratesOn screeds which are compact but very absorbent apply Hydroprime Primer in order to reduce and regulate the level of absorption. In the case of absorbent substrates with weak consistency, apply two coats of the primer . Respect the indicated waiting time before carrying out correction of the surface with a self-levelling product

Adding extra water does not improve the workability of the product, and may cause shrinkage in the plastic phase of drying and result in less effective final performance with a reduction in surface hardness, compressive strength and adhesion to the substrate

Deformable substratesIn the case of substrates which in any case are subject to flexure, apply Tuffex GT, the professional, single-component, water-base, adhesion promoter to a clean supporting surface, following the instructions for use. Attach an anti-alkali mesh with 4 x 5 mm mesh size and create DU Level 30 thicknesses ≤ 5 mm.

Large continuous surfacesContinuous, extensive surfaces need to be fractionized with elastic joints so as to create areas of 50 M2.

Special substratesAnhydrite screeds must be dry and sanded according to the manufacturer's instructions and impermeabilized with Hydroprime A eco concentrated, professional, water-base, surface insulation product, following the instructions for use. For subsequent laying of hardwood floors create a smooth finish of ≥ 3 mm thickness.
