AQUA PLUS
We are offering aqua plus emulsifier. diko - aqua plus" (for water addition up to 30% to enamel and primer) to reduce production cost of primers & enamel, water is incorporated to the system. It is not difficult to corporate water to the system, but, it is quiet difficult to maintain properties of your finished product like viscosity, gloss, drying time, stability of enamel .with the use of emulsifiers, water is incorporated to the finished product i.e. Enamel or primers but it has following adverse effects : increase in viscosity, increase in drying time, loss of gloss. aqua plus provides accurate solution to these problems. features : aqua plus is a blend of additives containing polar and non-polar functional groups. In addition to emulsifier and alcohol it also has protective colloids. apart from reducing the surface tension these colloids encompass the dispersed phase thus preventing coalescence and aggregation due to repulsive forces, this imparts stability to the system. aqua plus is compatible with larger spectrum of alkyds. Water-alkyds bond formed is strong enough to last long. recommended dosage:- for 100 kg batch of enamel or primer(finished / final product): 1. 100 gm. Aqua plus is required for 10 ltr. Water addition. 2. 200 gm. Aqua plus is required for 20 ltr. Water addition. 3. 300 gm. aqua plus is required for 30 ltr. Water addition. direction for use : first complete all the addition of your batch. Addition of aqua plus and water is recommended on finished and final batch. add 100 gm. Of 'aqua plus' to 100 kg. Final/finished batch of primer/enamel under high-speed stirrer, stir for 10-15 minute. Add 10 kg water slowly at rate of 1.5 to 2 liter/min. run the stirrer at least for half an hour after completion of water addition. quantity of aqua plus may be balanced or addition of water may be increased, after conducting trial at laboratory batches. do not add pigment, solvent, resin or drier, once water addition is completed. precaution :- if your resin has higher acid value, balance ph of finished product by using mild alkali with water and avoid use of extenders having calcium contents. If necessary to use inert extenders/minerals having calcium contents reacts with acid and carbon dioxide gas is formed and some time tin container breaks due to gas pressure. For higher addition of water %, selection of alkyd resin is important factor.
