• There are three sieves made of wire mesh of different size mounted one above other on a rotating shaft.
• The fruit, which is to be graded, is fed on the innermost sieve.
• While rotating, smaller fruit will fall on to the second sieve and in further rotation the smaller fruit will fall on to the third sieve. This way fruits are graded in three sizes.

Working :The process includes detachment of the fruit (dried grapes) from the stem, and separating the good fruit from its stem. In case the fruit is of poor quality, this Raisin Cleaning Machine caps the stem. The dried grapes along with stem are fed into the rotor which is conical in shape and has rubber beaters. While passing through the rotor, the fruit gets beaten off from the stem and the whole mass is discharged on the separator consisting of three different size sieves and a blower. While passing under the suction pipe of the blower, the stem gets sucked being lighter in weight and the fruit passes on. There are three different sizes of sieves, and therefore the fruit is graded in four sizes. The second blower is provided to remove the poor fruit and small pieces of stem, which are hidden under a layer of good fruit and stem, and hence, it does not get sucked in first blower. As most of the stem is removed by first blower, the volume is reduced. Resultantly, the remaining material gets spread better and the unwanted material is removed in second blower, and we are left with only quality, clean Bedana (Raisin) that is graded in four sizes.
