Digital Automatic Tap Density Test Apparatus, Model: VTAP/MATIC-II is designed to hold two cylinders, capacity: 100 ml & 250 ml. The mechanism provides simultaneously rotating and tapping motion to the cylinders for packing the sample under test, evenly and uniformly. The equipment meets the requirements of USP Standards suitable for Method-I & Method-II.
The user-friendly microprocessor based circuitry enables to select two different modes of testing tap density. In USP-I or USP-II mode, the numbers of taps are fixed and they can be set accordingly. The other is user mode in which, the user can select the number of taps as per requirement. The apparatus will run on the selected mode and at the end of the test, it will calculate and display the percentage difference between tapped volume and tapped density, compressibility index and Housner ratio automatically.
Provision is made in the apparatus to accept an 80-column centronic parallel port printer for printing the results. Thus, a hard copy of test report can be obtained for each test. The menu appearing on the 4 line LCD screen gives almost all instructions on the screen, eliminating the need to refer the instruction manual while working.
Instruments with only USP Method-l or Method-II specifications and non-digital junior models are also available.
The instrument is designed to determine the Melting Point of solids or Boiling Points of liquids, with high accuracy .The apparatus incorporates the latest type of MICROPROCESSOR BASED circuitry and is very simple to operate.
The apparatus consists of a cylindrical Silicon Oil bath with heater. A sample is filled in a capillary and suspended through the Teflon cover of the Silicon Oil bath. Similarly a Boiling Point tube with sample liquid can also be suspended through the Teflon cover to determine Boiling Point of a liquid sample. Temperature of the bath is maintained uniform with built -in magnetic stirrer. The unit is equipped with colour video camera , which magnifies the image of the capillary with sample, so that minute physical changes can be observed on the colour monitor with ease.
The apparatus is equipped with four lines alphanumeric informative LCD Screen which indicates PRODUCT NAME, BATCH No. SET TEMP.ACTUAL TEMP.START OF MELTING POINT etcThe self-explanatory feather touch keyboard enables to set the desired program for heating the Silicon Oil bath .
The unit is provided with socket to accept universal centronics parallel printer interface. Any 80 column dot matrix printer is connected will print the header, product name , batch no. , date and time of the test , and rise in temp./min towards last 10 C. It also prints START OF MELTING POINT.
An audio signal draws the attention of the operator for close observation of the Melting Point towards the final reading. The Melting Point can be clearly observed on the monitor. If through oversight one fails to stop heating, after reaching Melting Point, it stops automatically with TEST OVER message, when the temperature reaches 10 C, above the set temperature of the program.

The instrument is also having the facility for testing unknown sample. When UNKNOWN SAMPLE key is pressed the temperature will start rising at nominal rate so that it is easy to observe where the Melting Point.
The instrument supports the validation method by using difference standard samples such as VANILINE, BENZOIC ACID & CAFFINE.
The range of the instrument is 40 C to 300 C

C.O.D. Digestion Apparatus is suitable for COD method for monitoring wastewater influent and effluent, industrial process water, and more. This instrument is used by Pollution Control Labs. Outer cabinet made of mild steel duly coated. Double wall construction with insulation for minimum heat losses increases the efficiency of the system. Aluminium Block with holes (Dimension 40mm Dia x 80mm Depth) is used to hold 15 nos. COD tubes. Aluminium Block is heated to maintain temperature up to 180 deg.C. Solid state Digital Temperature Controller, appropriate heater & insulation selection assure uniformity in all the samples. Selectable timer up to 120min. with alarm is provided to set the digestion period (Refluxing). After digestion, analyse the sample with either colorimetric or titrimetric method.
The main unit of this apparatus incorporates the Microprocessor Based circuitry. A light feather touch key board is fitted on the side of an informative alpha numeric display. The display indicates the emf in millivolts generated during the titration process and also the millivolts generated with each addition of volume of titrant to the reaction beaker and the total volume of titrant added. The time interval between two consecutive additions of the titrant is also shown on the display.
All the factors such as the volume of titrant to be added in each addition, the time interval between two consecutive additions and the total volume of titrant to be added can be pre-set in the program with the key board.
The cabinet of the main unit itself serves as a sturdy titration stand with built-in magnetic stirrer. It holds the titration beaker with electrodes and inlet for titrant. A motorized precision dispensing unit housed in a small box can be kept on the main cabinet and connected on the side of the titration beaker making the equipment quite compact.A highly precision metering dispenser correctly follows the commands from the microprocessor based circuitry in the main unit and accurately adds preset volumes of the titrant at pre-set intervals as per the set program.
Observing the parameters on the alpha numeric display such as the Volume of titrant added with each additions, time interval between consecutive additions, emf in millivolts being generated during the titration process and particularly that generated with each addition of fixed volume of titrant, one can easily draw the graph with clear indication of peak values. If necessary, a printer can be interfaced to print all these parameters to preserve a record.
This programmable advanced instrument is equipped with microprocessor based circuitry, to program the friability test. Unit is equipped with informative TWO lines LCD display screen. It is also equipped with digital readout, automatic pre-set count stop and audio signal. It is supplied with two acrylic drums. The apparatus will have10 degree Tilt facility, as required.
