Gencoll Gel is a purely water soluble, non oily , clear , odourless gel. It is composed of highly purified Type-1 collagen from Bovine source as base material which acts as a delivery vehicle for the anti microbial Gentamicin Sulphate-I. Pequivalent to 0.1 % ( w/w) Gentamicin. Mechanism of Action

• Collagen is known for its wound healing properties by aiding cellular activity and providing an organised matrix in the skin.Collagen also acts as a vehicle for delivery of the Gentamicin in a sustained manner to the wound bed.
• Gentamicin Sulphate is a wide spectrum antibiotic that provides highly effective topical treatment in primary and secondary bacterial infections of the skin.
• Provides moisture to the wound bed, preventing dehydration of granulation tissue.
• Decreases wound surface contamination.
• Being transparent gel it facilitates direct monitoring of the wound.

Indications : Gen Coll is used for the management of wounds including : Bed sore, pressure ulcers, dermal lesions, second degree burns , Donor sites, Diabetic Wounds and Scar management. Directions for Use

• Throughly clense the wound with sterile saline
• Apply the Gel/ Cream as required to cover the entire wound.
• Cover it with appropriate secondary dressing if necessary.

Precautions

• Avoid patients hyper sensitive to Collagen and Gentamicin.
• Do not freeze the tube.
• It is for external Use only and not for surgical implantation.

Colocast is a Demineralized bone matrix of type-1 Collagen which is biocompatible and bioresorbable, widely used for treating bone defects in dentistry, orthopedic and other surgical procedures. High purity type I collagen derived from bone is essential for tissue regeneration and remodeling in any osseous defect. Colocast has been subjected to a bioassay of bone growth factors present in demineralised cortical bone and is prepared from bovine cortical bone samples resulting in non immunogenic flowable particles of approximately 200-700 micron size. Application Method : Open the package in a clean sterile environment. Open the vial containing the material and mix it with few drops of sterile normal saline solution or autologuous blood to make into a paste like consistency. This can be used for bone void filling. Precaustions :

• Like any other surgical procedure, care to be taken to monitor the health condition and the medication like steroid or anti coagulants taken by the patient which might affect the surgical procedure.
• Colocast should not be resterilised or re-used.Once the package is opened, it is advised that the unused portions of the colocast be discarded.

Contraindications :

• Colocast is contraindicated for highly sensitive partients for bone graft materials.
• Colocast is contraindicated in infectious cancerous areas, unless it is addressed properly.
• Colocast is contraindicated in clinical situations where any bone filling surgery should not be performed due to other pathological conditions.

Post Operative Care : Colocast is totally resorbable and should not be removed unless any other complications arises due to infection or other reasons. For periodontal packing application, colocast may be applied to the woundsite and proper care mutst be taken not to over compress the area. Patients should rinse with an appropriate antimicrobial agent of clinician's choice, twice daily for 2 weeks. The patients should avoid :

• Brushing the treated area for 2 weeks from the surgery date.
• Flossing for 4 weeks from the surgery date
• It is recommended to brush the area only with soft brush after 2-3 weeks following the surgery.
• Probing and sub-gingivial scaling should be avoided till completion of 8 weeks to prevent possible damage to the immature regenerating tissue underneath.

Colloskin-M Sterile Wet Collagen Sheet in Meshed Form . Usage On Exuding/ Infected Burns and Wounds for Easy Drainage of the Fluid. Colloskin-M use has been widely accepted for biological wound dressing especially for burns. It is highly effective for patients including those with HIV and hepatitis infections. Indications :

• Ideal for Non-infective 2nd degree burns,
• Superficial & deep dermal burns
• For 3rd Degree burns as a temporary cover
• Traumatic loss of skin cover.

Directions

• Throughly clean and denude areas to eliminate external contamination.
• Throughly debride infected wound.
• Take out the collagen sheet from the preserving medium and squeeze it to remove the excess preserving medium adhered to the Colloskin –M.
• Take a trough and fill it with sterile saline water and rinse the Colloskin –M throughly 2-3 times to remove the alcohol (preserving medium).
• Apply the sheet firmly on the wound and remove the air bubbles trapped if any for effective adhesion.
• For best results avoid second dressing over Colloskin –M.
• As epitheliasation occurs, Colloskin –M sheet peels off.
• Colloskin –M promotes healthy granulation in deep wounds for early grafting.
• Repeated dressing not required unless Colloskin –M is rejected due to underlying pus or complication.
• For skin donor sites, Colloskin –M must be applied after achieving satisfactory hemostasis.
• For chronic skin ulcers, 2 to 3 applications of Colloskin-M or more in 2-3 day intervals must be repeated after thorough cleaning each time, thus enhancing healing.
• In cases where the adhered Colloskin-M has to be removed from the wound, a saline, moist pad can be applied over Colloskin –M for a few minutes to facilitate easy removal.

Details :

• Colo Plug is a soft resorbable collagen Matrices engineered from highly purified type-1 collagen derived from bovine source.
• The Material is easily cut with scissors or scalpel to meet the needs of the surgeon. Coloplug is Non-pyrogenic and is provided sterile for single use only.

The ColoGide is derived from bovine source. It is a resorbable, non-friable barrier membrane obtained from highly purified type-I collagen derived from specially controlled and certified animals and is highly purified to avoid any antignicity. CharacteristicsThe ColoGide is produced to provide an optimized degree of flexibility and rigidity combined with the most predictable resorptive process. The Product comprises two distinct surface textures on either side of the membrane-a dense surface and a roughened porous surface. The dense top layer is in contact with soft tissue to prevent epithelial down growth and the porous roughened surface is in contact with bone and favors bone ingrowth. The ColoGide has a definite geometry in vivo stability and mechanical sterngth for use as barrier material. It has longest in vivo stability or resorption time 20-24 weeks, this accounts for the sustained function during the bone repair process. The colo Gide comes prepacked and sterile and is intended single use only. Indications :

• Periodontology-Guided tissue regeneratation procedure for infrabony defects.

Directions for Use :In all cases standard established sterile surgical procedures must be observed. A full thickness mucoperiosteal flap must be raised to expose the underlying bone defect. The flap should a minimum of 5mm outside the defect on all sides. The defect must be debrided thoroughly of all granulation tissue. After adequate site preparation the bone defect can be filled with a graft material. The sizes of the membrane should be determined using a template material adapting the membrane and cutting it with scissors to ideally extend 2-3 mm beyond the edge of the defect (s). the membrane once wet with blood tends to adapt extremely well to the bone walls. The roughened porous texture should face the bone and the dense smooth surface face the soft tissue. The membrane should be properly immobilized as micro movement can impair the bone ingrowth. Immobilization can be done using suturing or a fixation system. The wound should be primarily closed over without any lesion in the flap. Contra-Indications : The ColoGide TM should not be used in all contra indications customary to the use of bone grafts that can impair bone or wound healing including acute or chronic bone infection, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic high dose steroid therapy, vacular impairment at the implant site, metabolic bone disease and alcohol are smoking abuse. Precautions :
