Coir Floor Furnishing Co is the continuation of the family business founded by the late Mr. L.S. Das (Kalyani Pillai), in the name and style “COIR FLOOR FURNISHING CO” in 1921.

Following the footseps of Late Mr. L.S. Das,his son Late Mr. K.S. Rajan Janardhanandeveloped the business. To diversify further,COIRTEX INDIA was floated in 1981, which set the wheels rolling in the international trade for coir and its allied products.

Following the tradition, Mr. Sony J Kalyan Kumar, son of Late Mr. K.S.Rajan joined the family business in 1975 and manages the SONY Group of Coir Companies namely, COIR FLOOR FURNISHING CO, COIRTEX-INDIA and FLOORTEX, started by him in 1992 to cater to the broadloom Sector.

COIR FLOOR, a Government Certified Export House, has a growing reputation for unique, distinctive and innovative products, made from coir, jute, grass, cotton and sisal and has earned several awards for outstanding export performance.
