Biaxially-Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (BOPET) films are made of polyethylene terephthalate by casting into film and further stretching it into the machine and cross directions. This film has excellent clarity, good stiffness, smooth surface, good chemical and abrasion resistance. BOPET films are preferred for its easy processing and to achieve good oxygen barrier. BOPET primed films are used to achieve improved adhesions with ink, adhesive, and aluminum metallization. Chiripal Poly Films offers in-line coated films BOPET such as co-polyester and acrylic coated, apart from commodity grade films.

Metallized films are produced by a thin layer of aluminum deposition on the top of the BOPP or BOPET films. The films that look silver in appearance enhance the aesthetics as well as the barrier properties of the film, making it more suitable to use into the packaging to improve the shelf life of the product. Generally, metallization is preferred on a treated surface to have good adhesion with metal. The metal deposition measurement is done by the optical density level which in turn gives different barrier levels. Chiripal poly fims HMT is exceeded film with both side heat sealable and having Matty appearance on one side and corona treated glory surface on other side. The film having excellent contact clarity, Slip and antistatic properties for uses in reverse printing and lamination application.

Biaxial Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films are manufactured out of polypropylene by casting into film and further stretching it into the machine and cross directions. The BOPP films have excellent clarity and smooth surface, good chemical and abrasion resistance. Selected BOPP films also provide resistance to UV light. These films are preferred to achieve good moisture barrier.
