The cube and cylinder specimens can be easily locked on the table and the grinding head, 330 mm dia., can be radially moved either manually or automatically in both directions so, the only manual operation requested is the lowering of the grinding head by the top hand wheel. The machine is supplied complete with safety chip guard that, when removed, stop automatically the machine, with coolant tank, motor pump and one set of abrasive sectors. Diamond grinding sectors are available on request (see accessories). The machine is supplied complete with clamping element for 100, 150 and 200 mm cubes. Clamping devices for cylinders and device for dry grinding procedure are also available on request (see accessories). The 45-D0534B and 45-D0534C Core face preparation jigs can be easily fitted by the clamping element supplied with the machine.

The AUTOMAX E-Modulus is specifically designed for the determination of Elastic Modulus and Poisson's Ratio. It is also used for automatic execution of compression, flexure and splitting tests on concrete and cement when connected to a suitable testing frames. The console consists of an ergonomic cabinet which houses the hydraulic system, the electronic boards and the all-in-one PC. PC and software ensure the remote control of the complete system (frame and console) for automatic E-Modulus test execution: rapid platen approach, zeroing, application of user-defined cycles of loadunload ramps, identification of failure load, verification of conformity to the selected Standard, calculation of results, graphical and numerical management of results.

The automatic ProctorCBR compactor provides a fully automatic uniform compaction of specified effort, thus ensuring repeatable test results and eliminating any operator fatigue during the tests. It consists essentially in a robust steel frame housing the motor speed reducer and lifting mechanism which assure uniformity of drop height at all specimen levels. The rammer pick- up has a cam system for accurate height release and is made of highly resistant material for trouble free long life.Compaction cycles conforming to the mentioned Standards, can be set on the digital control panel. The internal mechanism is protected by a two doors that stop automatically the machine when opened, conforming to the safety CE requirement. The compactor is provided with a 24954535 g hammer with double interchangeable tip 50.8 mm dia. circular face for 4 moulds and sector face for 6 dia. moulds conforming to ASTMAASHTO Standards. It is also possible to convert the compactor to EN, BS and NLT Standards (for 100 mm dia. moulds only), by simply replacing the standard hammer with the 33-T85002 (see accessories) and adjusting the drop height.

This method, which is applicable to cast and cored concrete specimens, concerns the determination of the concrete permeability to oxygen conforming to the Hagen-Poiseuille relationship.The apparatus consists of: Permeability cell for specimens 150 mm dia, 50 mm high, Volumetric gas flow meter, soap bubble type, Digital readout unit and pressure transducer.
