Our Products
The Rotary Lobe Pumps from Alfa Laval are able to handle low, medium and high viscosity media, these pumps are used where gentle, sanitary processing is a requirement.
ApplicationThe SRU range of rotary lobe pumps has been designed for use on wide ranging applications within the Brewing, Dairy, Food, Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries. The SRU pump can handle from low to high viscosity media and is suitable for CIP (Cleaning In Place) and conforms to USA 3A Sanitary Standard.
The characteristic smooth, low shear pumping action is ideal for products such as creams, gels, emulsions, aerated mixtures, and delicate cells and organic solids in suspension. The SRU range is compact in size and highly efficient, capable of flow rates up to 106 m/h and pressures up to 20 bar. The new improved modular design provides for greater application flexibility and cost effective easy maintenance.
Standard DesignPump Gearbox
The SRU pump with its conventional lobe pump design concept has a robust cast iron gearbox, which provides maximum shaft rigidity and easy oil seal replacement. The SRU range in series 1-4 has a universal gearbox design. This gives the flexibility of mounting pumps with the inlet and outlet ports in either a vertical or horizontal plane by changing the foot position. The SRU range in series 5 & 6 has dedicated gearbox castings, which also allows the inlet and outlet ports to be in either the vertical or horizontal plane.
A quality epoxy paint system is used on the gearbox exterior for optimum protection against natural and corrosive elements.
Pumphead Construction
The SRU in standard specification has sanitary design full bore inlet and outlet ports to International Standards, maximising inlet and outlet port efficiency and NPSH characteristics. Enlarged diameter and rectangular ports are also available to handle high viscosity products.
The SRU in standard specification has tri-lobe rotors with the option of bi-lobe rotors for handling fluids containing large delicate solids. All rotors are available in three temperature ratings allowing the pump to be operated at maximum process temperatures of 70C, 130C and 200C for both fluid pumped and CIP.
Alfa Laval provides a full line of tank and cleaning equipment for all sanitary processing industries.
In the manufacturing of beer, soft drinks, juices, concentrates, wine, liquors and other beverages, there is a need to manage and control the sanitary and hygienic environment leading to strict microbiological requirements for cleaning of the production equipment as well as other process equipment.
Alfa Laval Tank Equipment has developed a dedicated range of tank and process plant cleaning equipment to meet these requirements and which are used in storage tanks, fermenters, transportation tanks, mixers and blenders, reactors ranging from 1-5 m / 300-1, 300 US gal, to 3-5, 000 m / 800, 000-1, 300, 000 US gal.
Introducing the New SSV Single Seat valve from Alfa Laval.
In 1962 Alfa Laval first released the SRC single seat valve. During the next 44 years, Alfa Laval have remained the market leader by setting a technologically advanced design that only others could copy.
Following the ingenuity of creative design and manufacturing practices, Alfa Laval have now released the Unique SSV Single seat valve.
The new generation that meets the highest demands of your process in terms of hygiene and safety. Unique Single Seat valves are built on a well-proven, platform from an installed base of more than one million valves.
Alfa Laval LKB butterfly valves are economical on/off routing valves, available for either automatic or manually operated systems. Due to their large opening areas, these stainless steel valves offer low flow resistance, allow for reversible flow direction and provide gentle treatment of low and medium viscosity product.
LKBF Flange ConnectionsThe LKB is also available with flange connections. Flange connections in welded systems allow for in-line maintenance.
ActuatorsAvailable in either normally closed or normally open versions for automatic operation. The LKB can be fitted with vertically mounted LKLA actuators, as well as the ThinkTop control and indication unit.
HandlesFor manual operation, Alfa Laval offers a complete range of handles, including the new multi-position lockable handle and a complete range of multi-position, mechanically locking handles
The Centrifugal pumps have all been designed for sanitary duties and have all product wetted parts in Acid resistant stainless steel. Various sealing materials are available and most pumps can be supplied with either single or flushed shaft seals.
Alfa Lavals mixproof valve concept offers you customized and modular solutions that exactly fit your application and demands.
Mixproof valves are an essential part of sanitary flow processing, separating two different products, but also preventing product contamination from other non-sanitary fluids. Mixproof means no mixing of incompatible liquids, but when thinking in terms of processing, the task is to obtain mixproof solutions while at the same time using as few resources as possible.
In effect, one double-seat valve can do the job of two or three single-seat valves, saving you space and installation costs, and providing you with unmatched system flexibility. Alfa Laval offers several mixproof valves, all with simple and cost-effective maintenance.
Applications: | Depending on the design, but especially suitable for high purity media through to heavily contaminated media; high viscosity, liquid, gaseous, corrosive and inert media. In combination with suitable control equipment, the diaphragm valve is a good alternative to the classical control valve especially with liquid and contaminated media. |
Alfa Laval agitators feature a modular design consisting of a drive unit, a unique EnSaFoil (Energy Saving Foil) propeller and a special seal arrangement, with other optional equipment if required. The unique shape of the propeller ensures exceptionally high flow rates combined with minimal shear forces, at the same time as only needing small energy inputs from the drive motor. An EnSaFoil propeller is up to 400% more efficient than any comparable unit with conventional-pitch blades.
You can install Alfa Laval agitators in both pressurized and non-pressurized tanks and use them in sterile/aseptic applications if necessary. The modular design makes sure you only pay for what you really need for any specific agitator requirement in any particular tank shape or and size.
Regulating valves from Alfa Laval are the ideal choice whether you are looking for the perfect flow control or constant pressure.
CPM-2 Constant Pressure Modulating ValveThe Alfa Laval air-actuated CPM-2 valve series is designed to maintain either constant inlet or constant outlet pressure important for such applications as pasteurization, separation, filling systems, filters, filtration and heat exchangers.
Inside, a diaphragm/valve plug system reacts immediately to any alteration of product pressure and changes position so that the pre-set pressure is maintained. The valve operates with a pressure-regulating valve for the compressed air and a pressure gauge in the product line.
The optimum body design of the CPM-2 results in several product benefits, such as excellent cleanability. As the inlet is tangential to the bottom of the valve body there is no sump. One special plug allows very low capacities and high CIP flow.
SPC-2 Sanitary Electro-Pneumatic Modulating ValveThe SPC-2 is a sanitary valve for use in stainless steel pipe systems. Typical applications are automatic control of pressure, temperature, flow rates and tank levels. The combination of electro-pneumatic actuator and specially designed valve cone makes this one of the most responsive and accurate regulation valves available.
The Liquid-Ring Pumps from Alfa Laval are the premium choice to pump liquids containing air or gases.
ApplicationMR is a liquid-ring pump specially designed for pumping liquids containing air or gas. The pump is for use in food, chemical, pharmaceutical and similar industries. The pump is mainly used for CIP-return application.
