CCI introduced PVC cables in India for the first time in the year 1960 and as on date has become the most common insulation in use. Suitable for all applications namely Industrial, infrastructure, power supply & housing.

In the Indian terminology all cables rated 66 KV & above are designated as Extra High Voltage cables. Available with aluminum & copper conductor and various combination of metal sheath namely poly-aluminum sheath lead sheath aluminum sheath in combination with or without copper wire screens.
