Whether you are new to corrosion atmosphere testing or have been conducting testing for years, we present Salt spray chambers or Salt Fog Chambers that are not only easy to use and maintain but also provide the accuracy and flexibility necessary to meet today's demanding corrosion test procedures including Salt Spray Test, Condensation Water Test and Cyclic Corrosion Test. These machines create three types of manually adjusted environment; salt spray, high humidity and air drying at any given temperature within the chamber. Any combination of these environments can be programmed, in any order, to form a corrosion cycle. Such a corrosion cycle can be automatically repeated a predetermined number of times.

 

Our models meet the requirements of basic, continuous salt spray tests conducted at a single temperature only, such as ASTM B117 and similar international test standards, and may be used with pH neutral salt solutions (NSS) or those acidified by the addition of Acetic Acid (ASS), Seawater Acidified Test (SWAAT) or Cupric Acid (CASS). Models above 480 Liters of capacity are ideal for Cyclic Corrosion Cabinet (Cyclic Corrosion Chamber).

In Laboratories corrosion tests are used extensively for selection of materials and their surface protection. Our Corrosion box chambers are what you need to predict corrosion resistance of materials such as paints and coatings and are designed and developed to meet the widest possible range of industry standards:

Capacity

 

Designed with four capacities 108 liters, 270 liters, 480 liters and 980 liters. However these salt spray testers and boxes can also be designed for higher capacities based on customers' requirements.

 

Chamber Construction

 

Made with anti-corrosion FRP sheets ensuring that the equipment is not attacked or rotted by the corrosive salt solution. The chamber construction is double walled insulated with high density ceramic wool.

 

Control

 

PID controllers for Chamber and Humidifier with separate timer and manual control of water level in the humidifier. As an option we also provide PLC based control system for digital measurement and control of system. Operating parameters are followed by graphic color touch panel.

 

Lid

 

The upper cover or lid is robust and made of FRP / Acrylic sheet. This lid is pneumatic operated enabling easy opening and closing while operation. Lid with FRP material a full size window enables viewing of samples without disturbing the test.

 

Spray Nozzle

 

The salt spray nozzle (glass nozzle) is imported from Germany and designed as per DIN specified.

 

Solution Storage

 

A temperature controlled non- corrosive storage tank for solution storage is provided with Immersion heater fitted in it.

 

Atomizer

 

Nnon-metallic, anti-corrosive and capable of producing a fine fog of 20 - 30 micron. (Optional - Clear and transparent Lucite atomizer for better aesthetics and sturdiness.)

Temperature Humidity Range:

Temperature range from 10C to 50C with accuracy of 0.1C - 1C. The humidity range is 20% to 90% RH with accuracy of 2%RH - 3%RH.

Control System:

Imported Microprocessor based PID controller with direct display of SET and Process value of temperature and humidity. The control panel consists of circuit breaker, dry / wet heater and compressor with indication lamps. Non-volatile memory to allow chamber to return to original set point when power is restored in the event of power failure.

Construction:

Come with double walled construction, with a choice of customers the external chamber can be made of Mild Steel, 304, 316 or 316L grades stainless steel with painted or power coated finish. The internal chamber is made of 304 grades stainless steel with mirror finish. The gap between two chambers is filled with thick CFC free PUF insulation which minimizes heat loss and helps in low energy consumption. The whole unit is mounted on caster wheels for easy mobility.

Doors:

With inner glass door user can easily view samples inside without any botheration. Outer door is solid and made of M.S, 304 or 316 grades stainless steel. Door is fitted with magnetic gasket and locking system.

Heating and Cooling:

For highly efficient heating these equipment use U shaped stainless steel jacketed heating element. An automatic temperature limit keeps the system safe from over-heating due to workload. For cooling high capacity industrial cooling system is used which keeps set temperature and RH values unaffected. Superior cooling performance is achieved through hermitically sealed compressor which is CE marked and of reputed brand. Uniform air distribution system helps in maintaining steadiness in environment.

Humidity Generation:

Heater based humidity generator with float valve controlled water reservoir. Steam is conducted into the inner chamber by means of conduits from the Humidity Generator. An additional device, water failure protection is fitted for flawless performance. This device disconnects heater supply in case of water supply failure and starts automatically when the water supply resumes.

ConstructionOur Dustproof testing machines are constructed with high quality materials. The door is solid and lockable with a micro switch enabling an interlocking system. The door is provided with toughened glass observation window and a rubber wiper with rotating handle.

Dust Tray (Shelf) Stainless steel dust trays provide strong platform to place components and let free flow of dust. These trays are removable and can be adjusted as required.

Temperature / Humidity:

Designed with 3 different temperature ranges which can be further customized as required. These temperature ranges are ambient to 70C. Humidity ranges from 20% to 98% RH with stability of + / - 3%. Temperature of heating and cooling functions is monitored and controlled by LCD / LED digital display with stability of + / - 5C. All our humidity chambers are fitted with over temperature safety cut out.

Controls:

Equipped with microprocessor PID control featuring high contrast LCD display and CPU logic control system. These units provide optimum control of temperature, humidity and other parameters are controlled by microprocessor PID controllers. A high contrast LCD display displays measurement of temperature, humidity, set-point, present value etc.

Construction:

Interior and exterior chambers are made of painted and corrosion resistant 304 grades stainless steel. Shelves are made of heavy-duty stainless steel wire, easy to clean and adjustable. All humidity chamber models are trolley mounted with heavy duty caster wheels for easy mobility of equipment. Indoor glass door is optional which allows visibility of samples to be tested. Outer door is glass wool insulated and equipped with solid handle, locking system, silicone packing and optional viewing widow. Efficient lighting system enables users to view inside the chamber without glare.

Heating System:

The SUS tube heater is used with drying and humidity bulbs.

Humidity System:

A low pressure moisture generator tank is used to generate the moisture and add humidity in the chamber. A high capacity immersion heater having 1 V4 BSP threading has been provided inside the moisture tank. This moisture tank is provided along with low water level controller with mechanical float type refilling arrangement.

Air-Circulation system:

For effective air circulation inside the unit a 1/8HP capacity ac motor with impeller is provided. This air-circulation system is responsible for constant temperature and humidity condition inside the system chamber.

Computer Interface:

Computer interface is an optional feature, a software and RS-232C port are provided as standard. This feature allows storage of program information, backup of value settings / recovery, and temperature / humidity values. RS-485 communication port offers connection of a maximum of 9 temperature & humidity chamber units to one PC.
