The Bioflow MBBR is a highly effective biological treatment process based on a combination of conventional activated sludge process and biofilm media. MBBR technology is the use of a moving bed biofilm reactor in sewage treatment plants. MBBR wastewater treatment system enables efficient results of the disposal using low energy. The technology is used to separate organic substances, nitrification and denitrification. Moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) is a biological technology used for wastewater treatment process and it is widely used in sewage treatment plants and aquaculture farms. MBBR media is a novel biologically active carrier, it adopts scientific formula, depending on the nature of water. MBBR technology is more advanced & dominant in comparison to the suspended growth process. It allows bacteria to stick to the surface to form biofilm.
The technology is activated sludge process where the media is suspended in the reactor offers additional surface area for the microbes to grow and thus in turn maximizes the growth of microbes in a given volume of aeration tank.

Microorganisms, which are attached to the floating media reduce the organic load. Tube settlers which are also known as plate settlers or lamella clarifiers are used in drinking- and wastewater treatment plants to settle out suspended solids. Depending on the application the TSS (total suspended solids) loading can vary between 50 to 500mg/l or more. When the solid settling force is higher as all drag forces, solids will settle down on the channel surface of the tube settler, accumulate with other solids and slide down as sludge.
