Havells FR Insulated Cables (Heat Resistant Flame Retardant) Life Line Havells has become the first manufacturer in India to provide Heat Resistant properties in addition to the existing Flame Retardant properties in insulated cables as a standard product.The advantage of HRFR is to enable the cable to carry more current than a normal PVC insulated cable, without any damage to the insulation. This feature is especially useful in domestic applications as in most cases the consumers often use multi-plugs / extension cords to connect multiple equipments leading to more temporary loads on the circuits than it is designed to carry. This leads to overloading and heating of the whole system resulting in deterioration of Insulation. As these cables have Heat Resistant properties, better life is guaranteed making them the most durable insulated cables in the industry. Havells FR-LSH Insulated Cables (HeatResistant Flame Retardant Low Smoke) Life Guard HRFRLS Flexible cables are recommended for use in places with high human concentration like high rise buildings, offices, shopping malls, hospitals etc. Havells HRFRLS insulated cables are made from specially formulated PVC Polymers that restrict the toxic gases and smoke as they are self extinguishing and do not allow the fire to spread. Havells ZHLS Insulated Cables (Zero Halogen Low Smoke) Life Shield. Havells has recently launched LIFE SHIELD WIRES (Zero Halogen Low Smoke Wires). This breakthrough comes as a result of the efforts of our R&D Centre at the Alwar plant. Our engineers have developed a special compound which has practically 0% halogen content & has a very high oxygen index. Your personal Fire Fighter at home. Superior Protection from Fire - In India we have been using PVC compound for insulation which is a Flame Retardant material under normal atmospheric conditions. But when a fire occurs the oxygen percentage in i ts vicinity increases because of formation of air-drafts which makes general purpose PVC wires catch fire. FR & FRLS PVC wires have an oxygen index > 29 & offer some protection against propagation of the flame; however Havells LIFE SHIELD wires offer much superior protection against fire with oxygen index > 35. An oxygen mask helping people trapped in fire breathe. Non Toxic - Research shows that maximum number of causalities in Fire happen due to chocking caused by generation of Hazardous gases. PVC Flame Retardant Low Smoke Wires release lesser toxic gases compared to ordinary PVC wires. Smoke generation in case of FRLS wires is < 20%. In this aspect our LIFE SHIELD wires are 10 times more superior compared to FRLS wires as they contain practically 0% halogens & therefore in case of fire release of Hazardous gases is < 2%.
