JSPL is equipped with India's first state-of-the-art plate mill that started producing plates and coils of 5 meter and 3 meter width respectively, for the first time in the private sector. The plate-cum-coil mill (steckle mill) of 1 MTPA capacity located at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh produces plates ranging from 8 mm to 120 mm in thickness in widths of 1500 mm to 3500 mm and coils in thickness range of 8 mm to 25 mm in widths of 1500 mm to 2500 mm.
The mill is equipped with walking beam type of reheating furnace where slabs are re-heated at a temperature of 1250 degree celsius and rolled in a mill with a 2 hi-reversing type roughing stand and a 4 hi-reversing type finishing stand. To ensure excellent surface quality, high pressure de-scalers are provided at the entry and exit points.
An auto level 2 width and thickness controlling system coupled with heavy leveler assures close dimensional tolerances and an increased level of flatness control. Right from the slab charging and plate production to the conclusive stage, fully equipped inspection facilities are in place.

The plates and coils are of premium quality in terms of dimensional adherence and internal soundness owing to its clean raw material, sound steel refining facilities and an efficient rolling mill. These comply to IS 2062 specifications up to E450 grades besides a wide range of international standards and steel grades as per EN, DIN, JIS, ASTM and so on. The mill is approved by various societies such as LRS, DNV, ABS and GL for shipbuilding steel, besides, having accreditations such as:
ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 , OSHAS 18001, CE, ADW-2000 and certification by IBR for boiler grade steel, besides being a well-known steelmaker.
JSW cold rolled closed annealed (CRCA) coils and sheets are produced at our state-of-the-art cold rolling mills (CRMs) in Vijayanagar. With our cutting-edge facilities, advanced operational technologies, rigorous inspection processes and integrated quality control, we ensure that everything made at our CRMs is of the highest standard.
By establishing India's first Continuous Annealing Line (CAL) in technological collaboration with JFE Steel Corp., Japan, we manufacture high-strength and advanced high-strength steel for the automobile sector at the widest CRM in the country. Our CRCA products are manufactured in deep drawing, extra deep drawing, interstitial free steels and high strength grades conforming to JIS, EN, ASTMA and IS standards. Dimensional accuracy is guaranteed by an automatic thickness control system using advanced numerical models.
Our CRCA steel has easy formability and a high-quality surface finish. Moreover, it has a consistent surface texture, with just the right balance between texture (for paint keying) and smoothness (for image distinction). All these factors make our cold rolled products the preferred choice for automobiles, appliances, furniture and other applications.

Galvanized Steel is those steel that has been covered with a layer of zinc metal. During galvanizing, steel is immersed in a molten zinc bath, ensuring a tough, uniform barrier coating. Zinc's natural corrosion resistance provides long-term protection, even in outdoor environments. Apart from preventing water corrosion, it is equally effective in dry, indoor environments.
These pipes are cheap, light in weight and easy to handle & transport & easy to join. Their sizes vary from outer dimension 19*19mm to 220*220mm and wall thickness 2.0 to 10mm.
Pre Galvanized tube
This category of APL Apollo steel tubes is generally made out of MS Galvanized Sheets. There are many preventive coatings (natural & synthetic) which are applied either before or after the production of tubes.
In the recent technological innovations and analysis by the experts, it has been proved that the APL Apollo tubes made by pre galvanized sheets are giving very good durability, stability, adherence as well as a longer sustainability without atmospheric corrosion. The coating is uniform and the thickness of the coating can be maintained as agreed between, which depends on the atmospheric and corrosive environment prevailing at individual sites. The overall look & finish is very aesthetically controlled. Having a homogeneous coating all through, these tubes can easily withstand any mechanical deformation without affecting their catalytic coating and the bonding of zinc coating with the parent material remains unchanged.
