Metal Bonded Rubber Pads

The bump stops or rubber pads are buffer elements used in the under frame of railway bogies & automotive axels. They are fitted between the axel and chassis. The main function of these rubber pads is to accentuate the load bearing capacity of the axel frame.

The typical construction consists of 2 or more metal elements interleafed with rubber bonded between them.

The bump stops consist of one metal part with rubber bonded over it.

• Bump stops are used in heavy trailers, trucks & as contact suppressors between the door panels and under frames of automotive systems.
• The rubber pads are heavy loading load bearing components used as linkages between the axel & the frame.
