Impact Testing Machines

The Pendulum Impact Tester Model - It30 is designed for conducting Izod & Charpy test The test methods confirm to BS-131:PART 4 - 1972 (Amended 15 Aug - 1993) & BSEN : 10045 - 2 : 1993.The Pendulum is mounted on antifriction bearings. It has two starting positions, the upper one for charpy and the lower one for Izod testing On release, the pendulum swings down to break the speciment and the energy absorved indoing so is measured as the differnece between the height of drop before rupture & height of raise after rupyture of the test specimen and is read from the maximum pointer on the dial scale.The Pendulum is mounted on antifriction bearings. Controls of Pendulum :The Pendulum supported in the starting positions is by a self resetting latch. The release mechanism is operated by lever The pendulum release latch is operated only when this lever isoperated.

Sirikers & Supports :There are two strikers & one combined support availabel for fitting into the Pendulum & on to the base of the machine for Izod, Charpy test. Changing from one striker to another is achived simply by fixing the new striker into its positions.

Optional Accessoris :Caliper gauge for checking V notch for IzodCharpy as per BS : 131 : PART 1, 2, 3.Depth notch gauge including V&U notch, angle & radius.Self centering tong.V-notch miling cutter.U-notch miling cutter.

Charpy Test :The Charpy test piece rests on alloy steel supports anvils. Fitted on the base of the machine rigidly held in position by allen screws. End stopper is provided for quickly & accurately loading the test piece centrally between the supports.

Izod Test :The Izod test piece is clamped vertically in Izod support anvils, fitted on the base of the machine. The support is provided with a achined vertical groove to suit the test piece size. The front clamp piece & allen screw enable clamping of the test piece in correct height with the help of Izod setting gauge supplied.

Torque ranges can be adjusted by auto torque selector. Torque can be applied to I specimen by geared motor through gear box. Autographic recorder gives the relation between torque and angle of twist.

The accuracy of torque indication is of the true torque.

Compression Testing Machines

Compression Testing Machine (Electrically Operated) - Four Pillar typeIt is an electric cum hand operated for compression tests on concrete specimens up to 20cm dia and 30 cm in height. The machine meets the essential requirements of various Indian, British & American standards for compression tests.

Loading Unit :The hydraulic jack of 2000 kN capacity is fixed to base. The upper plate has got a self aligning action and is attached to a screw which passes through the cross head and can be raised for lowered for initial clearance adjustment. The lower plate rests on the jack ram and is positioned with the help of a centering pin. Loading is accomplished by the upward movement of the lower plate.

Pumping Unit :The motorized pumping unit which is housed in an elegant console is of double plunger type and is driven by 3 phase 440 volts 50 cycles electric motor. The pumping unit is separate unit connected to the jack by means of a steel connecting tube. A junction box is suitably fixed to connect the motor to the mains through a push button starter. The pumping unit is fitted with gauges. A maximum pointer is provided to facilitate taking of the reading after failure of the specimen. The pressure gauges are fixed on the pumping unit at an angle for easy readability. The machine is fitted with a hand wheel control which enables the rate of application of load to be varied. The machine is also equipped with facilities for hand pumping in case of power failure. The electric pumping unit is fixed with a micro-switch off the motor automatically as the load on the machine approaches the rated capacity. Relays are also incorporated in the pumping unit so that in the case of break-down of power supply, the motor will stop and would not-re-start unless starting switch is operated.
