A thread protector is used to protect the threads of a pipe during transportation and storage, can be used on Casing Pipe, Tubing, Drilling Pipe.
They are generally manufactured from plastic or steel and can be applied to the pipe manually or automatically (by machine), and they are used frequently in the oil and gas industry to protect pipes during transportation to the oil and gas fields.
There are mainly 2 categories of protectors used commonly: HDPE Plastic Thread Protector, Metal Thread Protector.
Metal thread protectors can be cleaned and re-used, while plastic thread protectors are often collected and either re-used or recycled. The heavy duty HDPE Plastic thread profile prevent all contact between the steel bumper & the thread connection thereby eliminating possibility of bi-metallic corrosion.
A cementing plug is used to separate the cement slurry from other fluids, reducing contamination and maintaining predictable slurry performance. Typically, two types of cementing plugs are used on a cementing operation.
Top plug is used as a follow plug to displace the cement and land on the upper end of the bottom plug. The top plug has a solid body that provides a positive indication of contact with the landing collar and bottom plug through an increase in pump pressure.

CSS Drill Pipe / Casing Protectors are made of Nitrile Rubber having shore hardness 85 ± 5A with spring Steel Insert and Tapered Lock Pin Design for high abrasion, wear and tear and oil resistance.
Spiral-Fluted Drill Pipe / Casing Protector are best suited for applications where there are high circulations of mud. In fluted design the OD of the protectors are bigger hence making it more shock absorbing and the fluted space on the outer surface of the protectors helps the mud to pass through the protectors easily.
CSS’s Drill pipe / Casing Protectors are easy and quick to install with tapered locking pins. A special design of the pin-head ensures a positive lock on the drill pipe and easy removal. The snubbing stripper element is a consumable product and generally should be replaced for each operation. Coiled tubing elements can be replaced with the tubing in place, enabling a worn or leaking element to be replaced during an operation. An optimized seal lip with a garter spring maintains a constant radial lip force for optimum sealing. The metal case is exposed to the elements and to the fluid, however, the application of an optional sealant coating to the case improves both static sealing and corrosion resistance between the housing and the seal outer diameter. The secondary lip serves as both an effective protection against light airside contaminants and as a lube retainer. Maximum service life can be achieved by applying a suitable lubricant between the two sealing lips.

Our casing cup tester is designed to be attached to the drill string and then lowered into the casing beneath the wellhead to pressure test the blowout preventer stack and wellhead. When the cup tester is lowered into the casing beneath the wellhead, pressure is applied to either a test pump or by hoisting the type cup after filling the hook-up with water. The latter method is fast and accurate.
Astarn’s cup tester assemblies are rated to the API standard test pressure for casing sizes up to 10, 000 psi. Special reinforcing can be offered on all cup sizes and casing weight ranges to hold up to 15, 000 psi. Heavy Duty Packer cup is the least flexible but can also withstand higher pressure.

The elevator balancing straps are high strength rubber straps used for balancing center latch elevators during bit trips. CSS elevator balancing straps are made from the highest quality materials. The balancing strap attaches to the link with a U-bolt assembly. The twisted metal loop at the other end of the balancing strap attaches to the elevator handle.

Rubber pads usually consist of a steel base plate bonded to a rubber section, using a vulcanization process. In most cases, they are installed in the application via holes in the base plate. Rubber vibration pads are manufactured in a variety of sizes and rubber hardness options, to provide protection against unwanted shock and vibration in a wide range of applications. The rubber anti-vibration pads can also be produced in various rubber compound types, and with different base plate materials and finishes, to suit specific application requirements.
