cutch or kutch is by product of catechu. There are multiple types of cutch found, one is black cutch,   white cutch , red cutch, brown cutch etc. All of these comprising different chemical properties, and used for the different motive and in the different amount. Cutch, an extract of the acacia tree and it is detracting from various species of acacia. Mostly, cutch is extracted from one of its species named  khair wood , in this, wood is boiled into the water to get the brew as output. It is known by various names in different parts of the states in india like kaath in marathi, khoyer in assamese, kachu in malay, and soon. In hindi, it is called katha and in the ancient period, it is used as an astringent in natural medicine. Well, it has some other names also which are known generally are cashoo, terra,   black cutch , white cutch, etc. some of the uses of cutch apart from making medicines, it has many other uses as well. It is widely used for stomach relevant issues like diarrhea, colitis, and indigestion. Moreover, cutch is used in the disease of osteoarthritis pain, skin diseases, cancer, bleeding, and swelling of the nose, throat and also in the colon. It is used as a food additive, astringent, tannin, leather manufacturing and dye also. Cutch is also used as a good flavoring edible agent in food and beverages. Also, it is an essential ingredient for paan mixtures and gutka in south asia. In natural vegetables, the  cutch mixture  is at a high level.
