HORIZONTAL COMPRESSORS

KPCL Reciprocating, Horizontal Balanced Opposed, Piston Compressors is the result of extensive engineering expertise and experience of over five decades in design, manufacturing, supply and installation of air & gas compressors of various designs, capacities and pressures for a wide range of applications.

These units cover a wide capacity range from 3 m / min to 176 m / min & pressure range from 1 Kg / cmg to 400 Kg / cmg. Compressors up to 6 stage with pressure range up to 400 Kg/cm2g, on a turnkey basis from techno-commercial consultancy to commissioning on site. Sporting a modular design, these compressors conform to the latest versions of compressors standards, as per the requirement of the application. Till date, we have supplied more than 10, 000 compressors designed in-house.

In 1999, we added the Crepple design compressors (Reciprocating, Balance opposed Piston, water cooled Compressors) to our portfolio.

The BOP compressors have minimum power consumption, lower operating temperature & maximum efficiency thus achieving overall economy.

Heat Exchangers

Heat transfer equipment may be designated by type or by the function it performs, such as chiller, condenser, cooler, heater, vaporizer, and so on. The choice of shell-and-tube heat exchanger type is governed mainly by factors such as provision for differential movement between shell and tubes, design pressure, design temperature, and fouling nature of the fluids, rather than the function.

Hot compressed air is cooled to safe and usable temperatures for smooth working of instruments and pneumatic tools.

We design and supply customized vertical as well as horizontal Heat Exchangers to meet the exact demand of our valued customers, ranging from 20 CFM to 1000 CFM and pressure range from 2.0 Kg/cm2g onwards.

Refrigeration Air Dryers

Air contains contaminants like solid (dust particles), liquid (moisture) and oil which contaminates the compressed air. When this contaminated compressed air is used for various applications, it may cause failures of pneumatic valves, expensive instruments, etc which results in the downtime of whole system.

Our Air Dryers remove the moisture to a level of 600 ppm(w) by using energy efficient refrigeration system and effective heat exchangers. The wet air enters into the economizer (pre cooler) of the refrigerated air dryer and the temperature gets reduced significantly by the outgoing cold air. This medium temperature air further enters in to the evaporator of the refrigerated air dryer and the temperature drops to 2oC by the cold refrigerant. At this temperature the moisture in the vapour form condenses into liquid and the same is separated by high efficient integral moisture separator and automatic drain trap. All the three components (i.e. pre cooler, vaporator and moisture separator) are integrated into one single unit.

Heatless Air Dryers

It contains contaminants like solid (dust particles), liquid (moisture) and oil which contaminates the compressed air. When this contaminated compressed air is used for various applications, it may cause failures of pneumatic valves, instruments, etc which results in the downtime of whole system.

Our Air Dryers remove the moisture to a level of 80 ppm(w) by using pressure swing adsorption technology. The wet air enters into one desiccant tower and gets dried by the high performance desiccant adsorbent. The dry air passes through check valves and post filter to the utility. A portion of dry air (depending on the operating pressure and required dew point temperature) passes through an orifice into the other saturated tower at near atmospheric pressure, liberates the entrapped moisture in the desiccant to the atmosphere and regenerates it for the next drying cycle. A reliable electronic timer controls the cycle and valve operations effectively thereby ensures continuous dry air output to the utility.

WHY CONDENSATE DRAINS ARE NEEDED
  • All atmospheric air contains some water vapor, which will begin to condense into liquid water in the compressed air or gas system when the air or gas cools past the saturation point, i.e., the point where it can hold no more water vapor
  • Condensate drains are possibly the least glamorous and most ignored component of a compressed air system but nevertheless, a most important part.
  • Contaminants can enter a system at the compressor intake or be introduced into the airstream by the system itself
  • Lubricant, metal particles, rust, and pipe scale are all separated and filtered out, but its the drains that have to operate properly for the filters and separators to be successful in completing their task.
